ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Business Development Representative in Onomondo, you over-index on talent and attitude and you’re hungry – really hungry - to build yourself a proper career! You’re motivated to succeed by working hard, playing hard, playing smart, listening, learning and going harder on the phone and mail than anyone else out!
You’ll be a key player in the sales process to receive lead lists from the Market Research Analyst on which your main task is to open and qualify leads for the Account Executives to close. You’ll be part of the Commercial team in Onomondo lead by the CCO and you’ll have a Sales-jedi in your Sales Manager (search ongoing) as your team lead and you’ll be working shoulder to shoulder with some of the most talented people out there.
The sales team is the first of its kind in Onomondo and it’s expected to either grow or be straight up duplicated within 12 months pending the traction you’ll create! This role is ideal if you’re want to take a 12-18month stepping stone to more senior positions within either Sales, Marketing or Customer Success whilst enabling global companies to succeed within the IoT space, which ultimately will benefit people, profit and the planet!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Meeting - or exceeding - your monthly KPI’s
- Maintaining a high volume of daily communication; phone, email and video to fuel the sales funnel and Onomondo’s growth journey
- Execute strategic plan to expand our customer base
- Representing and evangelizing Onomondo, product and vision in the most admirable way
- Take active part in translating the Sales Managers guidance into action
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Help customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
- Forecasting accurately and maintaining pipeline data in Hubspot CRM
- Maintaining a high volume of daily communication; phone, email and video
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Prior sales experience
- Ability/willingness to make high daily volume of calls
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
- Professionally persistent and able to overcome objectives
- Proficiency in English
- Hands-on experience with CRM software is a plus (preferably HubSpot)
- Fast learner and passion for sales
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Able to clearly communicate verbally and in written form to a wide variety of audiences
- Able to track and executive deliverables across timelines
- Keen to learn about IoT and tech in general and the possibilities the product provides
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Acute self-awareness and desire to grow with our organization - personally and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills; active listening, communication, negotiation, empathy
- A passion for tech and an understanding of IoT and the possibilities it provides for people, profit and the planet
