Milestone Systems seeks Verticals Business Development Managers to be responsible for developing our Verticals business in the EMEA region within one or more of the verticals, City Surveillance/Government, Healthcare, Education and Hospitality. As a Verticals Business Development Manager, you will spearhead the evangelization of Milestone’s Verticals Solutions to consultants, end-users, channel partners and technology partners in the region.
As a Vertical Business Development Manager, you will also take a leading role in orchestrating and facilitating Milestone’s sales, channels, and technology partners to win in the verticals. You will work closely with both the regional sales and marketing teams as with our teams at HQ. The Verticals Business Development Manager will act as the regional anchor and ambassador of the Milestone’s Vertical Solutions in close cooperation with the relevant technology partners to ensure a differentiating and competitive proposition and be the liaisons for successful partnering.
The role
Primary tasks are:
- Orchestrate and facilitate Milestone sales, channel, and technology partners to win in the vertical.
- Be regional anchor as internal and external ambassador of the vertical Milestone product.
- On top of XProtect and the vertical Milestone product, select the relevant technology partners for success in the vertical and ensure a differentiating and competitive proposition and be the liaison for successful partnering.
- Define, create, and develop solutions use cases vertical specific with the Milestone Community by selecting the appropriate technology partners, jointly with the local sub-regional teams, from the Milestone Open Platform Community with a three-level good, better, best offering in mind.
- Support global team with market insights and feedback and be a “virtual” member of the global guild of colleagues working in the vertical.
- Work closely with vertical marketing team on the content creation and vertical narrative.
- Facilitate and plan regional vertical market business development, including understanding in-region differences.
- Together with the Community team and regional marketing team. develop the marketing strategy and content for the sales teams to provide insights and differentiating solutions to the end user or reseller in this vertical industry.
- Establish new partnerships with industry leaders for video enable solutions.
- Participate at industry events, meetings, associations to promote Milestone and our solutions.
- Deliver on annual vertical sales targets.
Your profile
- To be successful in this role your ability to serve as a credible advisor is key. Direct experience in one or more direct, related, or complementary fields such as Security & Surveillance and Information.
- Technology will help you speak with authority. Experience with Channel-based sales and marketing is also extremely valuable.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- 5+ minimum relevant sales experience
- Experience and good understanding of the challenges in a specific vertical industry
- Experienced with building strategic partnerships and alliances within an industry
- High feeling for technology and what the future can bring
- Great commercial insights and mentality
- Fluent proficiency in English, written and spoken
