As a Key Account Manager at PMC Hydraulics, you will be responsible for our important customers, who are large international world-leading company. You will work with many global contacts, both internally and externally. There is a high demand for smart industrial solutions, and it’s important that you have the ability to understand the customer's needs, add knowhow and build networks. Your task will be to support the customer and to ensure that new application opportunities and solutions are developed.
The role
The main objective for the KAM is to generate profitable sales growth by adding more value primary to customers, in accordance with the Group strategy. The candidate shall be able to build long-term relationships with current and new potential customers and strive to reach long-term profitable growth. You will be part of our global sales organization, of which 10 people are in Denmark. You will report to Sales Manager Denmark, and you can work from the office in Ballerup, or from home. In this role, you will travel abroad, mainly within Europe, but global travel can occur.
Main tasks
In your role, you will run, coordinate, and organize the business relations with the customers who have their HQ in Denmark or Germany, but also with their operations globally, and you should:
- Understand the customer's needs and develop the business
- Operate and coordinate to customer opportunities
- Build strong networks and project teams
- Plan and implement development projects
- Sell value to customer
- Assist with technical competence and solve problems
- Plan, implement and document sales, project management and customer/supplier meetings
Candidate profile
For the position as KAM in Denmark, we are looking for an experienced, proactive, and commercial person with interest in and experience from sales to global customers. The experience from working in the global market and knowing the structural fundamentals will be key to success in this area. Background and experience from a technical heavy industry, automotive, construction or nearby, in areas such as mechatronics or hydraulics would be preferable. The right candidate has a strong technical mindset with solid system capabilities, understanding the importance, structure, and functionality behind the products.
For the right candidate, some of the below skills should be recognized,
Professional skills
- Master or Bachelor within the area of engineering and/or technology
- A commercial engineering background and/or previous work experience in complex technology industries
- Experiences from a similar role in a technical based company with direct customer responsibilities
- Global experience and understanding of the entire business value chain
- Previous experience of hydraulics is valuable
- Good computer/IT skills and used to read specifications and drawings
- Fluent in Danish, English and preferable German in orally and in writing
- B class driving license is a requirement
