BAT DENMARK IS LOOKING FOR A NATIONAL SALES MANAGER
SENIORITY LEVEL: Management

LOCATION: Copenhagen, Denmark
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
As National Sales Manager you are responsible for our national field force in Denmark with 2 Area Sales Managers and 22 Trade Marketing Representatives in the whole country. You will be accountable for developing and ensuring agreed performance objectives and setting strategic direction for the field force.
As National Sales Manager you will have 2 Area Sales Managers as direct reports. You will therefore be accountable for equipping and developing them to manage and develop own teams and contribution to local trade performance and collaboration both within the trade organization but also cross-functional across BAT.
To be successful in the role, you must be able to lead and motivate your team, think strategically and act on commercial KPIs - and you must therefore be able to navigate in a challenging regulatory environment and ensure success across our portfolio. It is therefore essential that you have in-depth knowledge of, as well as solid practical experience from, a similar role in a sales organization combined with the necessary strategic and commercial understanding. Likewise, it is crucial that you have a good understanding and experience of the role's financial responsibilities related to P&L, are skilled in oral and written communication, and have good interpersonal skills.
You will be part of our Danish Trade organization of a total of 50 colleagues within Field Force, Deployment, Key Account Management and Entertainment. ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for national field force strategy
- Management responsibility of direct reports (development of managers, manage tasks in annual cycle eg. Feedback sessions etc.)
- Responsible for national field performance in accordance with performance objectives
- Development of national field performance in accordance with performance objectives
- Project management
- Member of the local leadership team
- Collaborate with National Sales Manager colleagues in Sweden and Norway
- Ensure plans to deliver on ambitious commercial targets
- Develop and implement effective sales plans
- Deliver results through people
- Define must-win capabilities in an ever-changing environment
- Develop area sales manager and contribute to the development of sales reps
- Conduct regular field visits with sales reps
- Secure information flow between FF and back office
- Drive commercial agenda
- Take part in recruitment of new team members in the Field Force
- Budget responsible

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- Management experience
- Retail/Sales/FMCG experience (preferred experience from both field and backoffice)
- Project management skills and experience
- P/L responsibility
- Digital capabilities or experience within Business Intelligence and Analytics
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Commercial understanding and thinking
