For that reason, we are expanding our Obesity Business Unit and are looking for a new colleague to join our exciting journey!

The Position

At Novo Nordisk our mission is to help people living with diabetes and other chronic conditions, such as obesity. Today, more than half of the Danish population is overweight and 18,5% are living with obesity. In the Danish affiliate we have set the ambition to bend the curve of obesity and ensure that the prevalence of obesity in Denmark stays below 20 percent in the coming years. This requires a change in the way society views obesity – and you will be playing a major role in this. Together with the rest of the obesity team, you will:

  • Take on the significant responsibility of increasing knowledge of obesity among our key stakeholders in Denmark, both regarding obesity as a therapy area, general treatment options and Novo Nordisk products.
  • From the commercial perspective, you will be trusted with the responsibility of securing sales in the Danish market.
  • Own, develop, and execute on a territory business plan covering the eastern part of Denmark to ensure our objectives are achieved. While creatively building your own area, you will contribute to the development of the regional & national business plan.
  • Will be responsible for engaging key customers treating obesity and obesity related complications, which involves developing and implementing new activities, events and projects tailored to their needs.
  • Will collaborate with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, changing the discussion, the market, and the commercial viability of treating obesity. In short, this is a highly important position with great opportunities and visibility.

Qualifications

To be our ideal candidate you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Health or Natural Science, Sales Management or another field relevant to developing and executing a strong business plan in the obesity market.
  • Are eager to demonstrate your strong history of successful sales and account management, impressing us with your abilities to follow through on ambitious plans.
  • Are proactive and accountable with a clear drive for delivery of your business plan. Your strong communication and people skills allow you to build trustful relations bridging geographical, professional and cultural distances.
  • Have the creativity to explore and utilise opportunities in uncharted territory, which will be a major driver for your success.
  • Are comfortable working independently, managing the freedom this allows and at the same time adhering to common deadlines, contributing to collaborations and generally being of great value to the group.
  • Are fully proficiency in Danish.

About the Department

Obesity is the fastest growing franchise in Novo Nordisk with a very attractive product pipeline. As Key Account Manager you will report to the National Field Sales Manager and be part of the Obesity Business Unit located in Ørestad, Copenhagen. The unit is responsible for developing the obesity market in Denmark and driving the obesity portfolio strategy together with the cross-functional team, including medical affairs, market access and public affairs. We are an entrepreneurial team with high energy and a strong group approach. We are proud to share both highs and lows, leaving no one alone with the hardest challenges.
