Sales & Commercial Innovation Director, Region North West Europe

Are you motivated by an exciting new opportunity to lead, define & develop our sales & commercial innovation within Region North West Europe? Do you have extensive sales and commercial excellence experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry, at a senior level? Then you may be the person we are looking for to join our Region North West Europe (NWE) Strategy & Commercial Operations team.

About the department
NWE Strategy & Commercial Operations is a diverse, international, high performing team of colleagues responsible for driving innovation, digital transformation and sales excellence across all affiliates in the region and upwards to global and International Operations.

The position
In this role your focus will be to lead, define and develop sales and commercial innovation across North West Europe, through strong collaboration and cross functional working across a high performing Sales Leadership Team (NWE Sales Directors).

The way we work with our customers is constantly evolving and digitization is at the top of our agenda. In this role you will be responsible for driving and developing our commercial and sales excellence strategy on new ways of working, including multichannel customer engagement & digital transformation (for example connected pens and other services); defining and developing what best in class hybrid model engagement looks like.

You will lead and drive the commercial aspect of IO Engage, our internal CRM platform, through collaboration with the commercial teams and participation in relevant forums to ensure European alignment and insight.

Challenging plans, assessing resource allocation and collaborating with Global and launch office you will strongly contribute to the successful execution of launch activity plans across 11 countries. Your remit will include direct line management of a Multichannel Excellence Manager and Sales Excellence Manager, together with leading a cross functional Sales Leadership team.

Qualifications
You hold a relevant Life Science or Business degree, preferably with post-graduate qualifications (PhD, MSc) Experience within Diabetes is highly desirable.

Essentially your background will be within the commercial side of the pharmaceutical industry, ideally across both sales and marketing. Your particular strength is within sales leadership and commercial excellence, with a proven track record in project and cross-functional team management at both a local and international level.

You are a strategic thinker; able to translate business complexity into clear strategic recommendations with excellent stakeholder management skills that you will use to influence and impact all management levels across the organisation.

Fluency in both written and spoken English on a professional level is essential; other European languages are advantageous.

Working at Novo Nordisk Region North West Europe

The Novo Nordisk Region NWE was established 1 April 2020 and covers most of Western Europe (incl. UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland and the Nordics). Region NWE employs about 1,600 colleagues who are dedicated to making Novo Nordisk’s innovative medicines available to patients with chronic conditions throughout the region’s geography.

The regional office is located in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is an inspiring and multi-national working space. We are open to a candidate based either in Denmark or another country within Region NWE, with the flexibility to travel as required.
