As a Sales & Application Engineer at SVM, you are the primary point of contact for our customers and our international Sales team. Your primary task is to handle inquiries from new and existing customers, develop solutions to match their requirements and guide them to choose the best overall solution. In doing so, you are the driving force behind tender projects through the sales process, collaborating closely with Product Owners and Engineering Specialists across SVM and sister companies. In this full time position, you will work alongside three colleagues in the Product Management department with direct reference to Department Manager, Jens Schou Christensen.
Your profile:
Your passion for engineering and technology is obvious and your professional pride never fails. To be successful in the role, you make the effort to understand the customer’s interests and strategy. Yet, your desire and ability to challenge the customer and align their specific requirements with SVM’s technical abilities and development is clear. Internally and externally, stakeholders experience you as a comfortable and convincing yet open-minded communicator. Your drive and charismatic character makes people want to follow where you go. You thrive with plenty on your plate and still manage to guarantee the correctness of a tender proposal with many variable factors. Not least, you have a commercial mindset and a customer-centric approach, preferably combined with practical sales experience. - Be responsible for ensuring technical alignment between machine concepts and customer requirements. This may include leading feasibility studies
- Compose sales packages including concept layout and specification, lead time estimation and price specification
- Participate in presentations and negotiations with customers
- Participate at various fairs and conferences as a technical sales resource
- Contribute to the strategic development of the sales team and its tools

- A broad technical foundation. Perhaps you started as a trained craftsman and built up your profile with a degree within automation and/or mechanical engineering
- 3+ years of experience in machine design, project engineering and/ or sales or procurement of automation solutions, from where you have got experience with requirement specifications, layouts and technical descriptions
- Experience from organisations working project-based
- Speaking and writing in Danish and English at a high level
- Knowledge from the pharmaceutical industry or from similar highly regulated industries would impress us.
