Randstad is looking for an ambitious Sales and business development Director for SaltPower. SaltPower is a fast-growing company developing green technology for producing energy. SaltPower has managed to further develop an idea of producing clean, CO2-free, predictable energy through osmosis by mixing water and salt water through a semi-permeable membrane. The company will grow from six to 12 people in 2021.
You will be the driving force in utilizing the vast network in SaltPower to expand the solutions to relevant companies. Your primary target group is the salt industry in Europe, where both salt producers and large consumers of salt are relevant. Your job as Sales Director initially consists of establishing contacts with the companies. Your work could include:
- Communicating the technology behind the solution and how it would be implemented at the customers sites
- Creating business cases for potential clients
- Conducting go-to-market strategies
- Uncovering the possibilities for subsidy schemes and tax options.
Initially, the focus will be on expanding the client base, and over time you will apply yourself to business development, for example aimed at the hydrogen, geothermal or oil industries. As the primary commercial profile, you will handle the full spectrum of sales activities. You will be working closely with the CEO.
As Sales Director, you are eager to contribute to the expansion of CO2-free, predictable energy and thereby contribute to the green transition. You want to change the future of energy and be a key team member, in a team that are first-movers in a new era of energy.
You might have a technical background as an engineer from the salt, chloralkali or soda industry, and you have experience with technical project sales or turnkey solutions. In short, you are:
- An experienced senior sales manager or director
- Knowledgeable within technical project sale/turnkey, and you have the results to back it up
- Possibly experience from the process industry
- Able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in an organization
It is essential, that you have a “can-do attitude” when handling challenges. You are accustomed to travelling, and you are adept at working on an executive level. You are comfortable balancing between starting up and finishing processes.
