Nordic Sales Manager for IMCD Nordic


On behalf of IMCD Nordic, Hudson is searching for an experienced Nordic Sales Manager to grow the Personal Care market segment in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

The Position


The position comprises full responsibility for the sales of IMCD Nordic’s specialty chemicals to the Personal Care segment in Denmark, Norway and Sweden as well as development and growth of the business area.

Areas of responsibilities


Your responsibilities can be described as

  • Developing and implementing account plans for the relevant customers that ensure reaching the overall sales objectives.
  • Creating and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the customer’s organization.
  • Coordinating all sales related issues e.g. sourcing, pricing, logistics etc. including dialogue with the suppliers.
  • Being the customer’s advisor when it comes to adding value to their chemical production and product development.
  • Development new projects and initiatives with existing customer portfolio.
  • Producing accurate sales forecasting and maintaining a solid sales pipeline.
  • Knowledge and best practice sharing within the sales team.

You will work from our offices in either Helsingør or Malmö. You can expect around 25 -30 travel days a year

The Profile


We are looking for an entrepreneurial candidate, a self-starter, with strong knowledge and at least 5 years of experience from chemical distribution and/or production. You probably already have a strong existing network in the chemical industry preferably within the Personal Care segment.

Your professional qualifications

  • A degree in chemistry and/or significant experience from sales to chemical industry.
  • A commercial mindset that focuses both on the long-term strategic sales development of your customers as well as short term sales objectives.
  • The job requires handling multiple initiatives simultaneously and therefore analytical, structured, and perseverant traits are important.
  • Customer-oriented and service-minded.
  • Curious about your customer’s challenges and focused on solving their problems.
  • Drives the business area independently at the same time as being a team player when the situation requires it.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Able to communicate in the Scandinavian languages.
  • Drivers license category B is a must.

The IMCD Nordic Life Science Team


The IMCD Nordic Life Science team consists of 10 highly skilled colleagues working across the 3 business areas Pharmaceuticals, Home Care and Personal Care in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Baltic Countries. The team is led by a Business Unit Manager.

The team works out of IMCD offices in Helsingør, Denmark, Malmö, Sweden, Espoo, Finland, and Vilnius, Lithuania.
