Sales Manager Northern Europe
Are you ready to operate in an international and challenging business environment? To build new business in the Nordics and realize ambitious growth for one of the world´s largest dairy companies?
Already present in the Nordic market, our client FrieslandCampina, have ambitious growth targets for the Nordic FMCG market. We are looking for an experienced sales profile, with an entrepreneurial mindset, who wants to play a crucial role in growing their business.
You will be working closely together with a passionate team and creatively build on what FrieslandCampina has to offer in terms of brands, private labels and products and adapt these to the needs of the Nordic markets and customers.
FrieslandCampina is one of the worlds largest dairy companies with a yearly revenue of 11.5 billion Euros and 22.000+ employees. Originating from 1879 and owned by dairy farmers in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, they have facilities in 32 countries - millions of consumers worldwide buy their products on a daily basis. Producing good and healthy dairy products is at the core of who they are and what they do. FrieslandCampina has a unique grass-to-glass proposition for their customers and consumers.
Your responsibilities
As FrieslandCampinas representative in the Nordics (DK, SW, NO, FIN and the Baltics) you actively scan the market for ways to enter new customer and portfolio opportunities. You will do this, within multiple categories for both branded (Chocomel, Campina, Valess, Frico etc.) and private labels.
Besides acquiring new customers and managing your accounts, you will be working in close contact with the Supply Chain to set up new routes to new customers and market launches: Together you are responsible for successful introductions and building up new business.
Furthermore, your tasks will include:
- Developing the long-term regional strategy, year and account plans
- Creating tailormade category strategies for each account
- Ensuring retail sales in stores are developed with Marketing
- Building strong customer value and relations to ensure customers buy-in
- Joint business plans with the customer, portfolio opportunities, promotion calendar, price negotiations and contracting within the framework of trade terms and trade spend guidelines.
Your qualifications
We are looking for an experienced sales profile with at least 5-10 years of relevant working experience – and a minimum of 2 years of experience in B2C sales within FMCG, preferably Food. You are a good networker who can build up a wide network in the market as well as create the necessary network within the FrieslandCampina organization.
Besides this we are looking for a candidate who:
- Has market knowledge of the Retail and Out of Home market in the Nordics
- Has strong influencing and negotiating skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and can-do attitude
- Is a self-starter and can manage the business independently
- Has a proven track record in operating fact based and accuracy in managing the sales KPI´s
- Preferably has a Master´s Degree
Your Team
You will be part of The Business Unit Export Europe which is responsible for building new business in Europe with retailers and distributors. The team consists of the Head of Business Unit Export Europe, two Sales Managers, one Sales Assistant, one Courier, and two Marketing/Brand Managers. The majority of the team is currently based in the Netherlands, however, for this vacancy, we are looking for someone who is based in the Nordics.
FrieslandCampina has an office in Copenhagen Denmark. Working hybrid from home, office and travelling to customers will be flexible.
