International Sales Director to New Nordic


Do you want to be a driving force behind the development and execution of sales plans of an international company? Do you want to take on the direct management of 12 country managers over time? Then you might be the International Sales Director that Hudson Nordic is currently seeking on behalf of New Nordic.

New Nordic is a Swedish-based company with unique know-how in medicinal plants and herbal supplements that meet specific needs in health and beauty. In recent years, New Nordic has received leader status in the “Beauty from Within” category which is a rapidly growing sector worldwide. Today, New Nordic’s products are sold in more than 50,000 pharmacies, beauty stores and health food stores across 36 countries: from China in the east to the United States in the west.

Today, the company counts 55 employees, and New Nordic is operated from Denmark and Sweden and includes 12 subsidiaries with more planned. In the role of International Sales Director, you will have your daily work at the office in Roskilde, and at the same time, be in close contact with the head office in Malmö and the country managers in the different markets. The new International Sales Director will be responsible to grow the business further and will support the various sales organisations in the markets. Releasing the potential and challenging the business to ensure plans and ambitions are being carried out and mutual targets are being met.

Your primary responsibilities also cover:

  • Take over the dialogue with the 12 country managers over time and ensure progress and sales targets in all markets. In the long term, there will be direct management of the countries.
  • Develop plans and prioritise customers/channels concerning investments, focus and service that reflect expectations and a desire to grow.
  • Ensure that the budget and forecast process works in close cooperation with the Country Managers and Supply Chain to align and ensure quality in estimates.
  • Be a daily sparring partner and motivator in a constructive and positive way both in the organisation and externally.
  • Coordinate conditions across customers/channels.
  • Ensure that New Nordic will be perceived as a credible and value-creating partner.
  • Contribute to the open and “let us not complicate things” -work culture.

Experienced leadership profile with a solid background in FMCG and international sales

The ideal candidate has an educational background at bachelor level along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience, for example as an Export/Area Manager. We expect you to have international experience in sales as well as experience in negotiation with international retail chains, to which you can demonstrate top results, both personally and for your team. Based on your previous experience, you show great business understanding, and you can work purposefully, persistently and result-oriented toward your team’s objectives as well as your own. You are fluent in both Danish and English verbally and written. As a person, you are action- and solution-oriented, a good organiser and an experienced negotiator with the ability to maintain an overview and control in stressful situations. You are determined and persistent, and you balance between a short-term and long-term focus. Additionally, you build long-term and sustainable relations.
