Sales Manager, Fiber Optic and Telecom Cables
Are you an ambitious and goal-oriented hunter profile with extensive knowledge of the fiber optic and telecom cables business?
The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager, Telecom is to provide the expertise in identifying business prospects and reach out to customers to achieve sales for Prysmian Group Telecommunication products in the Danish market.
As part of the commercial team, you shall be responsible for developing business opportunities in Denmark, directly handling the sales activities for telecommunication cables, achieving defined sales targets, and maximizing the company revenue & profitability within a risk-managed environment. Reporting to the Sales Director in Scandinavia, as well as the North Europe Sales Telecom Director located in the Netherlands, you shall establish and nurture the relationships with existing and new key customers and fully manage the sales process for their project tenders, leading multi-disciplined teams throughout the tendering, negotiation and contract closing phases. The projects are typically turn-key in nature, involving fiber optic and telecom cable systems. As Sales Manager, you will be involved in the development of sales concepts, the implementation of commercial strategy, the presentation of tailor-made solutions and in our value propositions. We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated hunter profile with extensive knowledge from the telecom cables business. The ideal candidate works with high energy, is goal-oriented, proactive, and confident in starting new projects. You are strong and experienced in stakeholder management, and it comes naturally to you to work closely and cooperate with internal as well as external stakeholders.
Your daily duties will include and you will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for all aspects of sales strategy creation and implementation, forecasting, and sales account management;
- Management of the entire sales process, from first contact to closing the sales;
- Monitoring of and participation in tenders;
- Contract and price negotiating;
- Accurate and timely forecasting, acting like a business leader;
- A key point of contact and relationship owner for a defined set of customers;
- Building key accounts into strategic partners and driving sustaining revenue, market share growth and product footprint;
- Contributing to the long-term success by being a collaborative leader amongst your peers;
- Consistently striving to improve and reinvent yourself;
- Analysis of competitors and market intelligence activities;
- Expansion of the customer base;
- Ensure achievement of company sales targets;
- Ability to travel as needed.
Who are we looking for? We are looking for a candidate who has:
- A degree in Engineering or Business Administration;
- Strong experience (5+ years) in sales with a proven track record in building successful long-term relationships with customers;
- Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally;
- Experience in a fast-paced sales environment;
- Highly organized with prioritization skills;
- Resilient in coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure;
- Strong Communication skills – written and verbal;
- Fluent in Danish and English;
- Excellent presentation skills;
- SAP experience and strong Excel skills;
- Good organizational skills, including the ability to organize the work of a team to meet agreed deadlines;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to agreed deadlines;
- Flexible and collaborative
There will be some travel to the head office in Milan and to your customers in Denmark. Your office space will be in Copenhagen.
