Foodjob Nordic is looking for an ambitious commercial sales person with technical know-how to join our client Urschel – the manufacturer of high quality size reduction equipment for the food processing industry.
Urschel Laboratories Inc. has more than 100 years experience in the manufacture of precision size reduction equipment and through Urschel International Ltd. the European and not least the North European markets have been served over decades with a focus on high levels of service and local support. To maintain existing business and to spearhead initiatives to expand into new areas in the Nordic area, a new Nordic Sales Manager will be onboarded in the beginning of 2022.
Responsibilities and goals
Referring to the Sales Director and with the backing of technical and support staff you will be managing the customer relationships in the Nordic area including Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia and Faroe Islands. It will be your responsibility to grow the sale of Urschel machines and parts into the territories, which includes:
You are the point of contact for the customers, and you will be working in a quite hands-on manner. Internally you will be cooperating with commercial colleagues in the rest of Europe, with the local service people and administration as well as with the centralized functions abroad.
You are offered an exciting role with a high degree of independence and freedom to operate corresponding to the accountability in the role. The position can be either home office based or based at the Nordic head office in Fredericia. Frequent visits at the office in Fredericia and travelling to customers up to 50% of the time should be expected.
Your profile
Besides being a qualified sales person you have technical flair and you can demonstrate a hands-on approach to work. You know the food processing industry, and it is a great advantage if you have experience selling machines or capital equipment in the Nordic markets.
On a personal level you are able to think laterally and work independently to create solutions and close sales. You are flexible to travel, and you possess good interpersonal skills as well as an ability to communicate with personnel on both shop floor and executive level.
Fluency in spoken and written English is a necessity and fluency in a Scandinavian language is a definite advantage.

- Maintenance of existing client relations and acquisition of new customers through lead generation and regular face to face contact with customers and potential customers.
- Preparation and presentation of machine quotes to customers
- Following through the entire process from order to delivery and start up at customer’s site
- Demonstration of equipment and liaison with the service department and the test kitchen
- Administrative tasks and reporting
