Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for a Sales Manager to be responsible for sales of the full MCI product portfolio in the Americas.
The position will be preferably based in USA. The precise location will be discussed with the successful applicant.
MCI is looking for a Sales Manager to play a key role in our dynamic international team with special focus on actively taking sales responsibility of our customers in the Americas. Our customers consist of container lines and fruit multinationals as well as other companies of varying size.
As world leaders in reefer technology, we are pioneering the latest developments in real-time tracking and energy reduction. Alongside our class-leading reefer and cold chain solutions, you will also be part of driving the adoption of our innovative Sekstant® connectivity and cargo-monitoring software.
To effectively carry out this challenging and rewarding role, you preferably have experience from reefer operation or the leasing industry. You have a strong interest in technology and thrive in a dynamic and global environment.

As Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Selling MCI’s full portfolio of cold-chain products – the Star Cool (integrated/picture frame) reefer, controlled atmosphere system, MCI reefer box and our newly launched Sekstant® digital connectivity system.
• Key account management and business relationship development within a defined geographical area/account list.
• Winning new customers, retaining existing customers and increasing customer satisfaction.
• Presenting and demonstrating technical cold-chain solutions. Developing and executing presentations and arguments that demonstrate their tangible commercial value.
• Participating in strategic sales planning for the group, as well as ad-hoc project work.
You have a relevant educational background, such as a commercial bachelor’s degree or an engineering/technical education combined with commercial experience. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within either the technical or maritime industry. Knowledge of refrigeration and/or digitalization technology is an advantage. The position includes a great deal of communication in English, so it is vital that you have fluent English skills. Spanish would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.
You have good negotiation skills and the ability to understand precisely what the customer needs. Building relationships with external and internal contacts comes naturally to you and you get on easily with other people. You can take responsibility for the tasks and projects you are given and to secure they are properly completed.
The position will report to MCI Global Head of Sales & Marketing based in Denmark.
