Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for a Commercial Trainee who will get to play an important part in ensuring food is safely transported across the world. A 2-year professional training programme at one of the world’s leading suppliers of refrigerated solutions to global shipping lines.
During this 2-year training programme you will switch between practical on the job training at MCI and 7-11 weeks of theoretical courses at Business College Syd.
MCI’s headquarters are in Tinglev, where you will also be based. Our colleagues come from all around the world and you will therefore be part of an international workplace and meet people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

We are responsible for managing our CRM system and administrative procedures within sales processes, collecting market intelligence and supporting other functions and projects where needed for the business to achieve its targets. Your key responsibilities will be to support our customers and Key Account Managers with high-end service and professionalism.
You will get the opportunity to:
• Support our Key Account Managers with sales all over the world
• Coordinate and communicate with manufacturing sites and potentially also customers
• Collect and maintain data in CRM and ERP systems
• Assist with data collection and various market analyses
• Support our CA+ operation with administrative tasks
• Support the planning and execution of exhibitions and seminars
As our new Commercial Trainee, you will contribute to improving our customers’ operations by supplying the most efficient reefer container solution, our Star Cool reefer. You will also be part of bringing a completely new product and IoT service to market – the Sekstant gateway and connectivity solution. Sekstant is fundamentally changing the way reefer container operators connect with and manage their transport chain. It enables access to real-time reefer information, monitoring and reporting systems, and seamless fleet management from anywhere in the world.
So far, MCI is the only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to offer a connectivity solution of this kind.
A trainee who has completed EUD/EUX/HHX or other relevant education and is now looking for a trainee position to get hands-on experience.
To succeed in this position, you will be very interested in pursuing a career in sales, you are extrovert, persuasive and have a natural team spirit. It would be great if you already have some experience working with customer service or sales. You need to thrive on meeting new people and other cultures, and not be afraid to take on new tasks.
You need good Danish and English skills, both written and spoken.
