We are currently hiring for a Key Account Manager Neuroscience in full-time in Denmark to cover the East of the Country (Zealand, Amager, Lolland, Falster, Møn, Bornholm, and Ertholmene)


The Key Account Manager has direct responsibility for representing Takeda's Neuroscience portfolio to an audience of medical professionals and works in a cross-functional team to achieve sales- and patient objectives. He/she will manage their assigned territory and drives the achievement of business objectives within the allocated budget, this includes Omnichannel engagement (OCE) and digital initiatives to secure a high share of voice and a strong positioning of Takeda among the target groups regarding partner of choice.

Your tasks in detail:

Account Management/Territory management

  • Understand the account/territory situation, challenges, competitors, and needs.

  • Formulate comprehensive, robust, and insight-driven key account plans.

  • Deliver on agreed objectives and tactics within the key accounts to drive Takeda performance.

  • Ensure account plans, objectives and KPI's are transparent to the whole account team and senior leaders (captured in SMILE, Veeva Engage).

  • Manage the account plan execution according to agreed timelines and budget. Take full responsibility for driving projects and bigger meetings within the brand team.

  • Conduct market surveillance and communicate in-field intelligence on customer insights, external stakeholder activities and trends to key internal stakeholders (including commercial, medical, market access, CEE).

  • Support and collaborate with both MSL regarding MIR and In-Field Market Access territory partner to gain product access to local formularies and/or protocols within own accounts.

  • Identify opportunities to initiate cross functional projects with customers and stakeholders.

  • Strong presence in the district and focus on OCE and digital initiatives.

  • Identify KOL potential and work on their development – in collaboration with the Medical team, Market Access Team etc.

  • Build and maintain strong compliant & mutually beneficial relationships with KOLs/prescribers.

  • Operate in a manner that is always in line with compliance and legal requirements and according to the marketing and sales strategies.

  • Act as an ambassador of the Takeda brand, its vision, and values.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop long-term relationships between Takeda and key strategic accounts and their stakeholders.

  • Identify key external stakeholders and develop deep understanding of their needs, collaborating on initiatives and co-creating mutually beneficial solutions that will add value to them and the patients.

  • Drive the implementation of the innovative offerings with key stakeholders and help differentiate Takeda from its competitors.

  • Support and advise Healthcare professionals on the correct use of Takeda product and services portfolio.


Cross-Functional Team Leadership

  • Proactively coordinate collaboration with medical and market access (and other internal stakeholders) to ensure alignment in objectives and activities with accounts and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor the account plan progress and hold collaborators, and self, accountable as agreed.

  • Lead the core account team meetings and present account plans and progress at relevant local meetings to the management.

  • Identify and address any collaboration misalignment.


Operational Excellence

  • Operate as a single point of contact to the customers and a project leader in the territory.

  • Prioritize and manage accounts within assigned territory by assessing appropriate business opportunities through contacts with key decision-makers and important local stakeholders.

  • Systematically analyze success of plans (e.g. sales, market developments, competitors) and propose mitigating actions as needed. Use learnings to further improve planning and execution.

  • Make changes as needed based on new business opportunities and changes in the marketplace to achieve financial objectives.

  • Always keep track of customer universe and that segmentation is up to date and implemented in the CRM system.

  • Plan agreements and execution based on potential and data from I&A.

  • Daily reporting on activities and appointments made with customers in the CRM system.


Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and LIF education

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, within a specialty care environment

  • Experience in managing customer relationships across the full spectrum of customer types in healthcare industry

  • Experience in the development of an account strategy and actionable account and business plans

  • In-depth knowledge of the Danish healthcare environment

  • Business fluency in English

  • Driving license

  • Other conditions: Travel within the assigned territory on a routine basis; Some overnight travel is required to see on a routine basis all target customers, attend meetings on a local national basis and training sessions as required for this position.


Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience in the therapy area of Neuroscience

  • Experience with Omnichannel engagement and/or digital initiative
