Key Account Manager

We have ambitious plans to grow our business with existing products, with further expansion in other areas. To support these aspirations, we are looking for a dedicated Key Account Manager to join our team, reporting to the Senior KAM.

You’ll be responsible for developing and fulfilling robust account plans together with the customer and other stakeholders. You’ll have your own customer portfolio, which will typically include a large global account, as well as some smaller regional accounts.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be commercially astute with a good business acumen. You’ll have a proven track record of developing excellent relationships with international customers and being trusted to deliver your promises. A positive, enthusiastic and winning attitude is critical to your success as well as profound understanding of the importance of teamwork as you will have many touch points across the organization. You will be skillful in successfully navigating between short-term deliverables and long-term strategic goals.

Today, if you are not already a Key Account Manager, you may work in sales or project management with a passion for business development.

There is flexibility for hybrid working, and you should expect to travel around 50 days per year.

Key responsibilities

  • Identifying and targeting revenue potential within your portfolio
  • Achieving growth for the assigned accounts and strategic steering of new projects into the commercial pipeline
  • P&L responsibility for the assigned accounts including developing and fulfilling robust account plans
  • Preparing and delivering performance reviews
  • Securing day-to-day realisation of agreed objectives, including forecasting, progress on strategic improvement projects and traction against deadlines on development projects
  • Ensuring well-functioning collaboration and communication with the customer, acting as the one point of contact, and ensuring alignment across the value chain in Fertin
  • Establishing our long-term preferred partner status, working closely with the customer, ensuring consistent delivery of the short-term agreed plans and also supporting future growth opportunities
  • Escalating incidents and irregularities for resolution

Required experience and competencies

  • Relevant education background in business, e.g., marketing, sales, finance, or project management
  • Prior experience from a relevant position with large international customers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Track record in delivering an amazing customer experience
  • Excellent relationship builder
  • International oriented business-driven approach and adept of working with different cultures
  • Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English
  • A creative and commercial thinker, with the ability to maximise revenue opportunities
