At Umbraco we are currently looking for a experienced and dynamic VP Sales for our European market.
Purpose of the role The purpose of the role is primarily to drive further growth and market penetration in our key markets: UK, NL and Nordics. Secondly to handle inbound sales in ROW (except N-america and Oceania).
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our company's objectives and goals.
The VP of Sales will oversee all aspects of the sales function, including sales planning, pipeline management, sales operations, and customer success. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and manage a high-performing sales team that delivers results.
You will be expected to recruit, hire, enable and mentor sales managers for:

- Partner sales channel
- Direct sales channel
- Front line sales team handling both outbound as well as inbound sales eg. trial takers.

Main activities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives
- Oversee all aspects of the sales function, including sales planning, pipeline management, sales operations, and partner success
- Manage and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure that sales goals are achieved
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, and work closely with the customer success team to ensure that customers are satisfied with our products and services
- Analyze and report on sales performance, using data to continually refine and improve our sales strategies
- Work closely with the growth and marketing team to develop effective sales enablement tools and programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and analytics, to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve our revenue goals
Professional qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth on B2B operations
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage a high-performing sales team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and use insights to drive sales decisions
- Experience managing sales budgets and allocating resources effectively
- Knowledge of sales automation tools and other sales technologies
