We have vast experience as an air cargo and ACMI operator, currently operating and managing a fleet consisting of +/-20 Boeing freighters with bases in Cologne and Leipzig, Germany, and Billund, Denmark. The fleet of aircraft will soon be expanded with 2 Boeing 777 freighters to support our long-haul operation.

About the role

Daily responsibilities will include the following:

• Advising and assisting Managers in the establishment and development of the safety
• Actively promote corporate safety culture
• Facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis and management
• Participate in the Safety Review Board (SRB). In this capacity SM will involve members of the board in identifying and prioritizing safety issues within their areas of operation; encourage and assist board members in becoming “safety conscience” within each functional area
• To manage and handle Maersk Air Cargo Fatigue Risk Management
• Provide advice on safety matters; and ensure the initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence investigation
• Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks and ensure the management of the documentation
• Keep the risk register up to date for all risk identified within the area of responsibility
• Investigate, analyse and identify trends of aeronautical occurrences and hazard detection reports. Recommend appropriate accident prevention actions and strategies to Accountable Manager
• Keep Maersk Air Cargo’s Emergency Response Plan up to date
• Coordinate safety issues with Maersk and Maersk Procurement regarding Aviation assets and related contract monitoring.
