Reporting to the Head of Global HSE Improvement the Senior Occupational Health and Safety Improvement Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing an occupational health and safety program.
This role owns the APMM HSSE Policy, Commit Rule and ESG Strategy for Safety and Security and the Management Framework for Landside Operations
This role develops and maintains the APMM Global Occupational Health ambition in collaboration with the HR Leadership Team, providing a health and wellbeing strategy that fully embeds occupational health and meets the needs of our employees.
Primary area of focus will be overseeing the development of HSE content and engaging with the business to provide scalable and effective OHS solutions that support current and future business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable country, state and local laws.
As a member of the Global HSE Leadership Team this role is responsible for leading COMMIT and integrated Brand Global Oversight programs
This role will serve as a strategic consultant to APMM IT, HR and GSC Leadership Teams.
Key Responsibilities
COE: Functional Leadership
- Develop and maintain the APMM HSE Commit Rule and associated management framework global HSE requirements for landside operations.
- COE input to the development and implementation of the Safety & Resilience core strategy and annual functional plan and review cycle/process considering brand and business drivers
- Support the development H&S leading metrics which best support and drive Strategy delivery
- Supports the development of the engagement and communication plan through positioning papers and content for internal/external influencing opportunities
- Provides of subject matter expertise and oversight services to Brands, the Safety & Resilience Strategy Team and internal business functions through workload co-ordination of the COE Senior HSE Business Partners
- Continuously seek external innovation and trends in the market place that could be deployed in our improvement journey and represents APMM at relevant external forums related to business activities.
- As a member of the Global HSE Leadership Team this role is responsible for leading COMMIT and integrated Brand Global Oversight programs
COE: Occupational Health
- Lead on APMM’s response to emerging health concerns and global health issues likely to impact on the business.
- Develop and maintain the APMM Global Occupational Health ambition in collaboration with the HR Leadership Team,
- In collaboration with HR drive a wellbeing agenda focusing on the mental and physical health of employees across APMM
- Builds and inspires a virtual Global Occupational Health Team focusing on technical expertise, clinic management and assurance, supporting continuous improvement and embedding occupational across the organization.
Implementation: Integrated Brands
- Develops OHS requirements, global processes and critical control points to adequately meet all legislative requirements and Industry best practice.
- Establish OHS leading and lagging metrics and provide performance insights driving improvement opportunities.
- Supports with technical expertise on responsible procurement and advises and counsels functional professionals and company leaders in approaches to improve occupational health and safety performance.
What we are looking for
- Bachelors’ degree or diploma in health sciences, safety engineering, occupational health and safety or related.
- At least 5 years in leadership role in multi-national organization
- Must have sound knowledge of global occupational health and safety regulatory and statutory requirements including management frameworks/systems
- Good understanding of current theories and technology applications used in Occupational Health and safety and a curiosity and willingness to embrace future deep learning to further improve OHS performance and to enable the next step change in industry safety
- Exercises vision and sound judgment at both global and local levels. Must be willing to tackle tough issues with tact and diplomacy in a timely fashion.
- Strong leadership, change execution, and cross functional/engagement management skills.
- Ability to act as change agent through interactions with others
- English level of minimum 13 – EF
