Job Description
Danfoss Cooling Segment (DCS) is looking for an experienced leader to fill the role as Senior Director for Sales Controlling. The position is a senior business partnering role for the Senior Vice President of Sales, the Sales Management Team as well as the divisions and product lines in DCS. You will be based in Europe, either in Denmark, Germany or France, and you can expect some travel activities, both internationally and domestically, as needed. Your team as well as stakeholders and colleagues are placed on different locations around the globe.
Your role is to act as the operational and strategic business partner towards a diverse stakeholder group and to be the financial radar of the sales organization. It is your responsibility to ensure transparency as well as predictability of the DCS sales controlling activities. You will be an essential part of the decision making process to ensure that we are meeting our short-term targets and mid- and long-term ambitions and are following our strategic direction. Furthermore, your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
As a person you are a passionate team player who is used to work in a complex matrix environment and who has proven communication experiences to senior management. You are highly driven by improving performance, well organized and efficient. You have a strategic mindset together with the ability to bring strategy into action as well as a hands-on mentality and very good analytical skills. Last but not least, you understand and communicate complex topics in a simple way and bring them to the point, propose solutions and make decisions.
Background and skills
To be considered for this position, you must have a Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration or similar, as well as:

- Leadership and development of the global sales controlling team
- Taking and influencing operational and strategic decision making
- Leading and evaluating target, forecast and perspective processes in sales
- Presenting sales activities in business review meetings with the leadership team
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the DCS sales organization, translating strategic goals into operational activities and ensuring execution
- Continuously driving for improvements and coming up with new ideas
- Specific example of relevant topics include revenue, pricing, rebates, fixed expenses, headcount, profitability per region/customer/product, accounts receivable, overdues, tariffs, exchange rate impacts and more

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration or similar, as well as:
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant leadership and controlling experience working in an international company
- Preferable experience from business controlling in a global sales organization
- Strong communication and collaborative skills together with the ability to guide, influence and convince others with empathy
- Fluent and comprehensive in English
