About the role
This is a unique opportunity to take your career into a treasury organization. FLSmidth is operating in more than 100 countries, which means there is never a boring day in Group Treasury. You will be exposed to a dynamic environment and experience many different challenges.
As Treasury Associate, you will be working very closely with other Group Treasury team members and our finance managers around the world. You will be working in our back/middle office where we are mainly responsible for reporting financial items, daily treasury operations and ensuring policy compliance. It is a role perfectly suited for the candidate who has had some experience with treasury, and who wants to learn and develop further within this area in a global setting.
About the department
You will join a team of 12 treasury professionals. We are responsible for managing FLSmidth’s financial risks, such as FX, funding, liquidity, payment risk, etc., reporting and controlling financial Items, supporting daily treasury operations, and driving continued finance risk management improvements. You will be:
- Responsible for daily treasury operational tasks (e.g. bank reconciliations, settlements, etc.)
- Maintaining and developing our TMS (Treasury Management System) Quantum
- Managing FX exposure reports, in close cooperation with senior members of the team and our subsidiaries around the world
- Actively participating in development and improvement projects
- Supporting the monthly financial reporting and auditing of the Group Treasury books
- Preparing regular and ad-hoc management presentations
- Monitoring mandates and signatories of bank accounts, ensure proper internal controls
- Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
You have:
- A Master’s degree in finance, economics or accounting
- A couple years’ experience within treasury
- Experience using Quantum & Bloomberg
- Detail-oriented with clear ability to follow up on action plans
- Customer- focused, with an understanding for company targets & processes
- The ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on deadlines
- A forthcoming and proactive attitude with good communication skills
