Though based locally in Randers, you will become part of a global Engineering organization and play a key role in the development and delivery of highly advanced automation solutions for combines.

About the job
As a Software Developer in AGCO, you will be part of our international DevOps team, which is responsible for the automation of our combine harvester, IDEAL. You will help implement the new software solutions directly on our combine harvesters in C ++, as well as contribute inputs for further improvements and new features.
The DevOps team is newly established and you will therefore get a unique opportunity to take part in rethinking the best practices and be involved in developing and influencing the team.
The work practices in the team are described as; we are building the plane while we fly it. We work in an agile approach, where you are involved in continuously updating the system requirements in collaboration with end-users, product management, and the engineering organization. You will therefore have a high impact on the system, and you will have the opportunity to leave your fingerprints on future technologies and products.
As the DevOps team is international, there will be some travel activity to either our machines or to colleges in other countries. It is therefore a prerequisite that you have the opportunity to travel.

- Direct communication with internal team members, such as product management and the engineering validation team, and end-users to identify, understand and prioritize requirements
- Design of experiments for applications in an agricultural environment
- Algorithm design, implementation, evaluation and presentation of results
- Participate actively in laboratory and field experiments
- Acquisition and analysis of sensor data from laboratory and field test
About you:

You probably have a relevant master’s degree and ideally, you have 3-5 years of experience in agile software development for modern C++ and/or Python. We are excited if you have:
- Knowledge of JavaScript and databases is an advantage
- Knowledge of Linux and Git is an advantage
- Knowledge of control system engineering is an advantage
- Domain knowledge from agriculture, agriculture machinery or other off-highway vehicles is an advantage
- Experience with electronic architectures and systems engineering is an advantage
