Our transformation journey demands a skilled Java Developer - are you the one?

TDC NET has started a digital transformation within all areas of the IT application stack. The journey is still in an early stage and will take TDC from a broad legacy stack to a lean COTS based IT application environment.

The Inventory team is building the IT systems to support the Fiber rollout which is a strategic goal for TDC NET. The inventory systems consist of 3 large COTS systems, providing the psychical and logical network overview which support the fiber build out, configuration and capacity planning processes.

The strategic journey will reduce the number of applications in the area and phase out systems while optimizing the work processes in the business areas. The aim is to build a more solid IT environment enabling a shorter time to market of new products and features.

Your role is to support the transformation journey in the GIS area:

A large part of the work is to migrate data from legacy systems into the new stack. This is done in close cooperation with the business users who knows the business needs. You will be a front figure in IT facing the business in these large migrations.

You will interpret the business requirements and convert them to IT tasks for Your colleagues and Your self.

The Inventory team consists of colleagues situated in Aarhus and Kolkata, India. The daily collaboration is team based, like most parts of the meetings. We work as one team supporting each other.

During the onboarding process You will be working in close collaboration with a coach from the team who will support You in all areas.

Qualifications:

• You have a relevant education (minimum a Bachelor or Master´s degree in computer science, IT, Programming or similar).
• You have development skills in Java (Spring Boot), Python and/or similar
• You have some experience within the following areas: database technology, relational database and/or graph databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MongoDB …)
• You have knowledgeable on data manipulation & data migration: ETL routines, SQL scripts etc.
