Key responsibilities

- Create an organization that engineers developer productivity through high reliability, new and updated tools, and cross-team collaboration
- Improve developer processes in the areas of code review, ownership, and branching
- Create, monitor, and evangelize metrics for measuring developer productivity

We are looking for

We're Excited If You Have:
- 15+ years' experience leading software engineering teams, including hiring and managing other software engineering managers
- Experience building internally facing engineering and devops teams
- A passion for developer productivity and improving the developer experience
- The ability to evangelize and socialize ideas and processes across a vast engineering organization, most of whom will not report to you
- A data-oriented approach to managing and delivering results

Key Skills
• Strong understanding of microservice based architectures and how to achieve composability
• Strong experience in helping leading development lifecycle process, best practices and operating distributed cloud-based micro services
• Strong experience using common developer tooling mechanisms (Github actions, CI/CD tooling()
• Experience developing in multiple programming languages
• Experience using cloud services
• Experience understanding systems based on design patterns such as Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing and Event Driven Architecture
• Excellent communication skills, solid work ethic, and a strong desire to write production quality code.
• Broad knowledge of programming languages and software development best practices.
• Experience of designing systems or components on large projects (£5M)
• Experience of working with offshore teams
• Experience of Test-Driven Development approaches
• Demonstrable high levels of integrity
