Python Developer / DevOps

The Systems organization in IT Relation are expanding and seeking our next team-mate who wants to participate in coding and developing our service-offerings and tools.

You will be part of a team with monitoring, patch, backup og data analysts focused specialists, responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of our many integrations.

To do so, you will develop and maintain tool- and API-integrations into our event handling platform where we are keen on automating the trivial tasks, helping our analysts with being focused and having the tools to enrich is key.

There will also be developing projects with other teams:

Developing our SOAR platform in conjunction with our Cyber Security team.

Developing monitoring probes in conjunction with our customers to suit the special purpose.

About the job

As our new Python Developer, you will be part of our R&D team, responsible for building, developing, and maintaining our integrations, inhouse-developed tools and more. Our existing codebase is based on Python 3. Though, knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, C, Java, JavaScript and alike is a plus.

Knowledge of connectivity methods like WMI, SNMP, Remote PS, API and alike is also a plus.

The development is Agile, with long-term planning, sprint-planning, backlogging, and pipelining done via Azure DevOps. You will have to think out of the box and expand our toolbox based on the ideas you get with the team and our third-party vendors.

What will be your responsibilities:

• Coding, developing, and maintaining our current codebase
• Creating and maintaining a rigorous test-setup for our code integrations
• Seek and develop new tools in collaboration with the other team-members

About you and your skillset

• You have a proven skill in coding and maintaining code in an Agile setup
• You are comfortable in Python and API integrations, and are keen to develop/maintain a rigorous test-setup
• You are well versed in the version-control system Git
• You are structured, detail-oriented and put an honor in the quality of your work
• You have an interest in coding, data, integrations and are keen to learn more or are an experienced DevOps
• You are self-driven and solution-oriented
• Knowledge in System Administration for Microsoft Windows and Linux would be your advantage
• Knowledge in the Cloud-space and Microsoft Azure in particular would be your advantage
• Advanced English – both spoken and written
• You are service minded and a team-player
