Software Developer for Operations Management

AGCO’s Innovation Center in Randers, Denmark is searching for an experienced software developer to strengthen our competences within our Operations Management team.

Though based locally in Randers, you will become part of our global Research & Advanced Engineering organization and play a key role in the development of technologies and concepts for our global digital product portfolio. The Operations Management team focusses on decision support technologies for farmers and contractors around the world. This includes various algorithms for planning and scheduling of field operations, ranging from route planning and control of autonomous robots to prediction of crop growth and scheduling of field operations based on weather data, growth models, local sensor data, and more.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Understand requirements through communication with internal stakeholders and end users.
• Software design and implementation.
• Algorithm design and implementation in software products.
• Analysis of end-user data to validate and improve algorithms.

You have competences within one or several of the following areas:

• Experience with software design and implementation.
• Experience with algorithm design and implementation.
• Knowledge of optimisation algorithms is an advantage.
• Experience with Java, Python, and C.
• Domain knowledge from agriculture, agriculture machinery or other off-highway vehicles is an advantage.
