As Senior Software Architect at BEUMER GROUP, you will be technically responsible for large and complex projects in terms of design, function, and quality, and you will participate in all phases of the project development from analysis to testing and commissioning of the system.

In the position, you will be part of a software organisation of more than 175 specialists dedicated to creating integrated software systems. You will work in project teams of 8-15 colleagues as the technical driving force behind the project, and you will have the final decision on all technical questions. As Senior Software Architect, you will work closely with the software project manager – you will lead the technical issues, and the software project manager will lead the business and administrative matters.

Your main tasks are:

• Design the software for the solutions and ensure they adhere to the customers’ requirements for quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.
• Subdivide complex applications into smaller, more manageable pieces
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers
• Responsible for planning and supervising the quality of the design and implementation through reviews
• Responsible for planning and supervising tests

Your qualifications are a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience from a similar position for example as a software or solution architect within software design. You have strong experience in software development and technical skills within one or more of the following: C#, Java, HTML, and SQL. You have excellent knowledge of software and application design, modelling methods, and software quality assurance principles. It will be an advantage if you have knowledge of logistics or similar process solutions. Experience in international and project-oriented organisations will be a distinct advantage.

You probably have a relevant educational background in software development or computer science, but the combination of education and relevant experience is highly valued.

You are a person with a superb overview and attention to detail. You have an analytical mindset and enjoy working with complex solutions. Furthermore, you are self-driven, although you enjoy being part of a team of dedicated and committed people, where the team together creates the results. It is an excellent advantage if you are curious, exploratory, and motivated to find new solutions.

Travelling: Approximately 20 days per year to airports around the world.
