We are seeking a talented Back-End Engineer to join our innovative, award-winning mobile app development team. Specializing in internal and partner facing products, our team delivers high-value, operation-improving mobile applications that resonate across multiple business areas. What you’ll be doing:

• Work in a global team spread between several locations of highly skilled engineers, delivering code according to agile and lean principles.
• Collaborate with the business and product teams in defining and prioritising the feature backlog.
• Implement and deliver high quality platform and product features in a microservice based, cloud native architecture.
• Participate in deploying infrastructure and code as well as maintaining our CI/CD pipeline.
• Assist in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
• Work with latest technologies, while continuously evaluating what are the best technologies available to solve for the needs.
• Form strong and trusted relationship with the Product Owner; ensuring that the Product Owner is fully aware of the technical capabilities and shortcomings of the product allowing for sensible technical investment and debt repayment decisions.
• Participate in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies related to software development.
• Act as the touchstone for technical and engineering excellence within the team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior members to foster their growth and development.
• Drive a proactive culture and futureproofing the product ensuring best user experience.

• Knowledgeable in cloud-based products and solutions (Preferably Azure)
• Confident to work in an environment that might require continuous (daily) releases to production.
• Proficient in system integration using modern technologies e.g., JAVA 17, Reactive, Spring Boot, REST API, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (using GitHub Actions), Kafka, SQL or any NoSql databases and other Service based systems.
• Experienced with observability and monitoring in distributed environment (Preferably, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Experience in delivering CI/CD related solutions with a high degree of automation.
• Highly skilled in writing clean, reusable and efficient code that is easy to read.
• Highly skilled in writing unit & integration tests across all components; an advocate for automated testing
• Strong belief and demonstrated ability to iterate and evolve architecture.
• A solid understanding of cloud native architectures
