25 Nov Software Engineer for Structural Blade Test Facility


Are you an expert in software development processes who would like to use your experience to help us elevate software quality and security? The continuous improvement of blade test methods and the increasing software demands from customers add complexity to the software needed. This requires high standards for software development to maintain a high-quality and robust test environment.

All new wind turbine types are subject to type certification. A mandatory part of the certification process is structural testing of the blades. Blaest A/S performs full-scale structural testing of blades for the globally leading blade and wind turbine manufacturers.

The Job
As our new Software Engineer you will be involved in:

  • Hands-on software development for blade test software mainly done in Python.
  • Responsibility for the in-house software development procedure and data architecture.
  • Improving the software development processes to enhance quality and security.
  • Deployment and ensuring testing of the in-house developed software.
  • Collaboration with the IT- Manager to ensure proper bridge between in-house developed operational software and general IT-solutions and IT-security.
  • Responsibility for Database Connection Management Software used by all test related software.
  • The interfaces between the cloud and onsite software solutions.

We would like to see you use your acquired skills and experience in software design to improve our software deployment methods and hereby maximize software robustness and quality. Further you will be responsible for the fundamental software such as Database Connection Management Software which is utilised in all in-house software solutions.

Qualifications

  • Software engineer or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Comprehensive experience with software design, testing, and deployment in the Azure and DevOps environment.
  • Experience with database structures.
  • High level of proficiency in Python.
  • Professional-level English and Danish skills, both oral and written.

Personal Competences
It will be your responsibility to drive our software deployment and testing of new software and ensure a stable Database Connection Management Software. Therefore, you must have structural approach to problem-solving and a personal drive and eagerness to push the limits and to find new and creative solutions. Additionally, you should be comfortable with networking and collaborating across the company with other external experts.
