Global IT Data & Analytics
Data & Analytics, part of Vestas Global IT, is responsible for products and services related to Business Intelligence and Data Engineering. This ranges across traditional BI to data ingestion from multiple sources, data storage and data preparation enabling our internal colleagues performing analytics.
Data & Analytics is a strategic area within Vestas Global IT with the ambition of becoming an increasingly relevant partner in business-critical solutions relying on data. We have a long tradition within BI, based on SAP, and we are continuously expanding our capabilities in order to meet current and future requirements supporting the overall vision of maintaining Vestas' position as number 1 in the sustainable energy business.
As a new member of our team you will be a part of defining and developing the area within ‘Data Engineering & Platforms’ which is rapidly evolving. In our data engineering setup, we have a cloud centric mindset with the goal of enabling more employees in doing analytics. By doing so, the aim is to get more value out of data while optimising the platform to perform as efficient as possible.
Responsibilities
As a Data Architect, you will get hands-on experience with designing large-scale solutions with an immediate business impact. You will be a part of a highly dedicated and passionate team driven equally by creating business value and by developing state-of-the-art technical solutions.
Qualification
To fulfill the position, you probably have a couple of years of experience combined with a relevant education within the area of business analytics and/or IT. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:

Responsibilities
- Engage with internal partners to gather requirements to specify cloud centric analytics and big data solutions
- Ensure the right level of quality in solutions to cater for the business criticality of the solutions
- Design and manage our data platform based on the needs of business solutions
- Design complex and optimised ETL pipelines to serve data intensive solutions
- Constantly research and evaluate new technologies and techniques
- Orchestrate sub-suppliers in the solution development phase

- Big data storage solutions e.g. Data Lake or SQL
- Data Warehouse design and solution development in SQL
- ETL design and optimization
- Machine Learning deployment pipelines
- Experience with the Azure suite is a plus
