Global IT User Productivity & Digital Foundation Cloud Services & Core Infrastructure
As a Technical Cloud Architect, you have the vast opportunity to create a real impact working in our newly launched Enterprise Cloud Services & Engineering team (ECS&E). With ECS&E, Vestas launches an exciting journey to gather the best cloud skills in one place, provide and operate best-practice cloud services and shape the future of our enterprise IT solutions. We seek a highly motivated Technical Cloud Architect who desires to actively contribute to this journey and unlock the full cloud potential for Vestas.
You will be part of the Cloud Services & Core Infrastructure department which belongs to the User Productivity & Digital foundation (UPDF) area within Global IT. We develop and deliver strategies, roadmaps, portfolios through a business case focused approach to ensure that cloud consumption is being moved up the stack and that Vestas is accelerating on its cloud journey.

Competencies
Working in Enterprise Cloud Services & Engineering naturally requires a solid technical understanding of cloud. However, a good understanding of on-premise datacenter technologies is also beneficial as many cloud workloads are and will continue to be hybrid in nature and integrate with on-premise solutions.

Responsibilities
In your position as Technical Cloud Architect, your primary responsibility will be to:
- Propel Vestas' cloud transformations and shape the journey of our cloud services
- Work closely together with the business and cloud workload owners to evaluate, define and build the future onboarding of cloud workloads and business cloud projects
- Provide guidance to develop our processes, and support projects based on cloud, given your deep insights into best practices and Cloud technologies
- Identify current gaps and future possibilities and turn them into suggestions with a continuous improvement mindset
- Collaborate with the team and our partners on building our future capabilities, based on modern IT service paradigms
- Support the transition of our IT services into a next-generation cloud future with more agile and automated delivery and operating models
You will be performing and taking part in creating roadmaps, application architecture & design and implementation at various levels to create and sustain optimal platforms for business development and innovation through a customer centric mindset, and focusing on the best addition in regards to value, risk and cost in relation to the business needs
Qualifications
- Solid experience with building both IaaS and PaaS-based and the Cloud Native stack solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience with automated deployments, templates, scripting, creating Infrastructure-as-Code, deployment pipelines
- Experience with ongoing security monitoring, management and improvements for cloud workloads
- Experience with transitioning / transforming on-premise workloads to cloud
- Experience from working with IT in large / global enterprises
- A formal education and degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or similar, or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Current certifications in at least one cloud provider discipline is beneficial
