We are looking for a skilled Scrum Master with project management experience to enable the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of developing the foundational IT capabilities required for Novo Nordisk to succeed with an ambitious transformation of our entire business process landscape.

Global IT is launching a new initiative to create the necessary core IT capabilities within infrastructure, integrations, data management, and platforms that will enable the digitalisation and future growth of our business. The department

The position is based in Global IT Operations (GITO) - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services.

The GITO Strategy and Transformation department is a team of highly skilled and dedicated project managers and scrum masters, responsible for defining the global infrastructure strategy and implementing related projects and activities. As a department, we have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, we are setting the direction in managing agile projects and coaching agile delivery teams, and we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver our projects and introduce new ways of working. We are right now on a journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our IT projects will be delivered according to the SAFe framework with agile teams running sprints/iterations. The department works closely with our business owners to understand and adapt to changing business needs.

The position

As a scrum master, you will become responsible for facilitating, coaching and supporting one or more of our agile delivery teams and will be working both independently and in close collaboration with our business owners, product owners, technical architects and agile team members. Initially, we are looking for a scrum master to support our agile delivery teams in the Digital Workplace area, however, it may also be required to work in roles in other of our areas.

Your role as scrum master is strategically important to our area and will have top priority and support from senior management as part of implementing agile principles and new ways of working in Global IT Operations. The main responsibilities in the scrum master position are:

• Facilitate the agile delivery team to efficient delivery
• Coaching and leadership
• Keep track of and help solve impediments and escalate if necessary
• Help the team manage their progress via transparent backlog and board overviews
• Help the team and other roles prepare and align expectations before and during events
• Drive teams, vendors and customers in Novo Nordisk’s Agile way of working incl. Agile Delivery Model, Azure DevOps and others
• Change ambassador to drive the learning culture and agile mindset in Novo Nordisk
• Budgeting and vendor management

The position is in Bagsværd, Denmark, however, you will be working global teams and may sometimes need to work and engage with agile delivery teams distributed across different time-zones.

Your qualifications

You have a bachelor (B.Sc.) or master’s degree (M.Sc.) in business administration, engineering, computer science, or other relevant fields.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-3 years of documented experience in agile methodologies and preferable digital workplace domain knowledge as well as previous experience with managing and delivering agile projects.

Ideally, you have a strong understanding of the infrastructure and operations domain area and have potentially worked on projects within the pharma industry, bringing experience from infrastructure operations and technology or process implementations, maybe as the responsible project manager or as a management consultant.
You are motivated by challenging assignments, you absorb new knowledge quickly, and you are always open for developing new competencies.

Independence, cross-cultural understanding, and fluency in written and spoken English are essential in combination with strong change management and communication skills. You preferably have experience from working within an Agile/SAFe framework and can work with confidence across the role as both scrum master and project manager, effectively combining different project management concepts, methods and techniques to deliver business value.
