AI & Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) is looking for an empathetic and value-driven people leader for a maternity cover of 8-10 months, to join our rapidly growing organisation. We use data and AI to build and deliver value to all of Novo Nordisk, supporting the needs of our patients.

Apply now! What’s in it for you? The AI CoE is a high-growth area of approximately 20 people, specializing in engineering and AI. It consists of four areas:

1) AI partners which recently has been created as a department with reference to the Head AI & Analytics CoE, consisting of 8 data scientists solving complicated AI and advanced analytics problems across the value chain
2) AI Engineering partners, consisting of few very experienced AI and ML engineers working in various parts of the organization to accelerate AI
3) MLOps, an internal software product team focusing on creating ML/AI services that speed AI’s time to market 4) AI Lab, a growing AI innovation unit, currently focusing on GenAI tools, software and cross-company GenAI collaborations and use cases We especially expect you to :
  • Lead the entire area and will in this role ensure our impact and culture is sustained and continuously improved

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and motivation to your team, deriving a sense of accomplishment from their success as they implement the business strategy that you will be part of shaping

  • As Head of the AI & Analytics CoE, you will join the BIDMA leadership team, be responsible for growing our people, overseeing the implementation of use cases, and ensuring the balance between business value and technical scalability. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality work in an agile manner, while safeguarding and developing our culture.
    Candidate profile The ideal candidate should meet most of the following requirements:
  • MSc, PhD, or similar graduate degree in business administration, engineering, computer or data science, HR, or other relevant fields

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in leadership, preferably within tech field and working in an agile manner. Ideally experience from being leader of leaders

  • Proven track record of developing and growing specialist talents and setting up a good working culture

  • Interest and ability to drive and support implementation of strategic long-term cross-organisational people related initiatives e.g. on mental wellbeing or critical competency development

  • Solid understanding of Novo Nordisk/pharmaceutical value chain and how to collaborate across to bring change and accelerate impact

  • Able to listen to others, sense and react on input and tech trends and set the strategic course of AI, clearly explain context and enable people to achieve the best results

  • Able to navigate a complex and senior stakeholder network, including business senior leaders, through effective communication and expectation setting

  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken is a must

  • Experience working within the domain of Advanced Analytics or AI is a plus
