What's the role about As a Trustworthy AI Engineer you will help ensure transparency and accuracy on ML/AI models/systems across Novo thereby securing the foundation allowing Novo Nordisk in its transition to a data driven company. You will be working with cutting edge technology across the Novo Nordisk value chain, from new and innovative drug research to clinical trial optimization all the way to optimizing the production facilities. You will be a key player in securing the quality of these ML/AI solutions, by providing guidance and tooling to support data scientists in ensuring ethical, transparent, and accountable use of AI across the company.
The position is a hands-on technical position and will require that you are highly self-driven and motivated, initially you will be part of the MLOps, but the expectation is that this area will grow and that you will form a cross functional team with the capabilities to understand and implement technical guidance and solutions.
Your key reponsibilities are to: Develop and maintain a robust AI governance framework to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical principles
Understand regulatory requirements related to AI compliance in pharma, such as the "EU AI act" and regulations from FDA and EMA
Collaborate with the global compliance office to understand regulations and suggest and evaluate technical solutions that integrate with our tech stack and MLOps framework
Offer practical guidance and tools to aid various data science groups to comply with regulations and to produce high quality trustworthy AI solutions
Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI regulations and compliance requirements as well as tools to assess models and ensure quality
Candidate profile MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
5+ years’ professional experience operating ML solutions or other experience with model assessment
Experience implementing AI governance like; bias detection and mitigation, model explainability, fairness metrics, model cards and/or other model quality assessment practices
Strong understanding of machine learning operations (MLOps) practices and tools
Highly proficient with Python
Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear and actionable guidance
