We are now looking for an Architect and Lead Developer to join our team. You will get to influence a growing organisation undergoing changes, and with your solid software development skills, you will play a key role in the continued development of new business deliveries and the migration of new clients including new integrations.
In Securities Trading & Data Management we are currently running important projects like: Data Hub, a one stop architecture for all market and reference data, and Saxo Bank Investment Solution to be linked up with SDC’s Securities trading solution, enabling a best in class Investment Solution for SDC banks.
We are starting a new development team in Securities Trading & Data Management. For this to be a real success, we need an Architect and Lead Developer to work out of our Ballerup office. The rest of the development team will be based in Warszawa. Securities Trading and Data management has until now been primarily mainframe based. However, our sister department Derivatives-, Risk and Asset Management is all windows based. So, the technology is not completely new to us, so you will not be alone.
The work environment in Securities Trading & Data Management, is characterised by openness, commitment, delegated responsibility and team work. Automated testing and good code quality are key aspects of this which are important to us.
Design, code, and test proprietary solutions in relation to our Securities trading platform
As Architect and Lead Developer you participate in project work, maintenance tasks and production support. As Architect your primary responsibilities will include architecting Applications and Databases, technical design, configuration management, development and secure proper testing capabilities of solutions. You will discuss and develop architectural topics with Corporate Banking’s Chief Architect. In your daily work as a Lead Developer, you will ensure, that the team delivers according to architectural decisions. To achieve this, you will inspire, teach and coach your team members.
Experienced Architect and Developer
As a person, you possess strong communication and cooperation skills, and you have an analytical mind set. You are a team player, who is proactive, takes responsibility and you like a challenging workday that can be unpredictable at times. You are service-minded towards both clients and colleagues.

Experienced Architect and Developer
- You have 8+ years of work experience with software development in C# and design patterns, through which you have achieved a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- You have solid work experience with solution designs, version control systems, IDEs and SQL.
- Experience with TDD and automated testing is an advantage.
- Preferably, you have work experience with continuous integration and multi-threaded back-end systems.
- The securities trading domain is complex, and it requires a good understanding of this business domain in order to be able to deliver. If you don’t have this knowledge, you must be willing to learn.
- Work experience from Investment Banking or financial IT, is of course a big advantage.
- Comfortable with English as working language.
