Test System Architect
Do you want to work with complex technology and the latest equipment? Are you innovative and can you design high-quality test systems based on a systematic approach? Then we have an exciting job opportunity for you at Demant, where you will have a great influence on how our test systems are being built and developed.
Demant is a leading global hearing health care company. We develop, manufacture, and sells products and equipment, which helps people with hearing loss connect and communicate with the world around them. In Demant we focus on four activities: hearing devices, hearing implants, diagnostics instruments, and personal communication devices.
Demant in Ballerup is the global competence center for microelectronics and the production site for all amplifiers used in Demant’s hearing aids. We are looking for a Test System Architect with the ability to define and work with complex test systems and infrastructures in a production environment - in cooperation with cross functional stakeholders and sites.

At our facility, we are 140 employees in total, including 80 in our production.
Through early involvement in new product development projects, we ensure "New Product Introduction" and an efficient production release. We are responsible for building up a complete production setup before product launch and the subsequent volume production.
The position
You will be part of our agile and innovative Core Technology Development team of 7 people working with most HW and SW aspects within our electrical test setup.
The team mission is to develop core technology solutions, which can support project requirement and product specifications and work in high volume production environment.
You will represent Demant Ballerup in projects and forums that relate to our test systems and bring technical knowledge and a high-volume production approach to the table. Your focus will be to design and document the needed architecture with a systematic and innovative approach based on own knowledge and inputs from stakeholders.
You will be involved in defining our future test setup and the infrastructure behind including all aspects of the software and hardware involved.
You will also be involved in maintaining our existing test systems as part of a Continuous Improvement approach to our production setup.
Your primary tasks will involve the following:
- Design, document and create test system concepts for the future
- Guide the development team on implementing your design proposals
- Act as peer reviewer for the development team
- Support and collaborate with stakeholders on mapping systems dependencies
- Develop the overview of our test system infrastructure
- Represent Demant Ballerup in projects and forums related to our test systems
- Implementing new versions of our main Software tools by specifying, implementing, trail running and giving feedback to the developers
- Support our main production support team as an expert
You will also work with quality assurance collaborating with colleagues from QA and participate in Audits as a subject matter expert.
Your experience
Preferable you have a degree in Engineering. You are either a technician, hardware or software engineer and you have a solid experience with designing software and hardware systems. Knowledge within LabVIEW, TestStand and instrumentation from National Instruments is clearly an advantage.
It is an advantage if you have experience with infrastructure projects including database handling and process procedures like experience with modelling tools like UML, SysML or MagicDraw.

You have good interpersonal and communication skills and like to collaborate and share information with your colleagues. At the same time, you are focused, determined and speak up when needed. You work independently and are good at prioritizing between different tasks to achieve your own and our common goal as a team. Your work is characterized by analytical and structured work methods and your attention to detail.
You speak English and preferably Danish.
