Java Developer for JYSK - focusing on backend development
Are you passionate about writing code, creating good software design and do you know how to make high performing fault tolerant systems? - Then join the Java department in JYSK!
As part of the Java team, you will be joining a team of highly skilled colleagues whose strengths are to operate in an agile environment.
As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for the backend development of JYSK's applications using frameworks and platforms such as:
- Spring, Hibernate, Jersey, Swagger, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
You have a great interest in coding and creating a good software design. JYSK expects you to be passionate about IT and software development. You are a keen Java developer, and you want to continuously develop yourself and improve your skills.
Your work tasks will involve:
- A good deal of coding, SCRUM meetings, troubleshooting and sometimes tasks within operations.
- As a Java Developer in JYSK you'll have great influence on both architecture an exploring new technologies.
- JYSK are open minded towards the usage of open source and thus you can have great influence on introducing new libraries and frameworks where suited.
- Depending on your previous experiences you’ll have different opportunities, regardless of your level you’ll experience a great deal of influence in your job - it's possible to be hired as a Senior Java Developer.
It is expected that you can work independently with your tasks, and at the same time be interested in entering collaboration and sparring with your colleagues.
In the role of Java Developer, it is expected that you:
- Have experience with Java development
- Finds it natural to write clean code and create flexible software architecture
- Can test your code and has knowledge of test-driven development
- Are familiar with Java web technologies
- Has experience with one or more of the frameworks and platforms used:
o Spring
o Hibernate
o Jersey
o Swagger
o Docker
o Kubernetes
o Kafka
Department
As a Java Developer, you will be part of JYSK's IT department, which consists of approx. 110 competent employees, all of whom possess a high level of ambition. In the JAVA department itself, you become a member of a team consisting of approx. 40 Java developers (Java people in Germany included).
JYSK is a frontrunner in the development of online cross channel E-commerce and with Unified Commerce, JYSK has launched its biggest IT initiative ever with ambitions on becoming even better in cross channel E-commerce.
