For our client Nordic Leisure Travel Group we are searching for a skilled C# backend developer. Amongst others the company consists of brands like Spies Rejser, Sunclass Airlines,and Airshoppen Travel Retail.
In this role we are searching for a developer to join the team working on Airshoppen. A team of 9, but with Business IT consisting of 160 employees in the Nordic Countries. The role will be to develop scalable backend services and occasional frontend components for their airline tax free e-commerse pre-order platform, implementing complex business logic. This role involves collaboration within both tech team and business, to create seamless e-commerce experiences for airline travelers worldwide.

This role involves collaboration within both tech team and business, to create seamless e-commerce experiences for airline travelers worldwide.
Key duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Micro Services using C#.NET and Azure (including Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, APIM, and Azure Service Bus)
- Implement and optimize data models and database interactions using Microsoft Entity Framework Core
- Create and maintain APIs that serve frontend applications and integrate with other internal systems
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Bicep Templates for Azure Resource Management
- Utilize Azure Service Bus for efficient, asynchronous communication between systems and system components
- Occasionally develop frontend components using Vue.js or Blazor
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement complex business rules and workflows
- Participate in code reviews, sharing knowledge and improving overall code quality
- Contribute to DevOps practices, enhancing CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems
- Work with Sitecore-based e-commerce platform to implement business logic and optimize performance
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation
- On a rotational basis, act as the gatekeeper to handle support for the systems, focusing on resolving existing issues and enhancing system stability to minimize future support needs
Qualifications, skills, know-how and experience:
Must have:
- 4+ years of experience in software development, with focus on .NET and Azure
- Solid understanding of Micro Services architecture and RESTful API design
- Proficiency with Entity Framework Core and SQL database design
- Experience with cloud-based messaging systems, preferably Azure Service Bus
- Role is not frontend, but must be familiar with JS-frameworks, CSS, and HTML
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to tackle complex business logic
- Excellent communication skills in English and a Nordic language
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for teamwork
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Experience with unit testing and writing testable code
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for high-traffic applications
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD
- Knowledge of Vue.js and Blazor for frontend development
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their backend requirements
- Experience in the airline or travel industry
- Familiarity with Sitecore's architecture
