Working at BoligPortal you'll become part of a medium-sized, yet expanding, team of talented developers. Your role will involve developing and enhancing our existing marketplace for rental housing, alongside crafting innovative solutions for professional landlords in Denmark.
At BoligPortal, you'll experience a startup-like environment brimming with a vibrant team culture. As a team we like to keep meetings few and short, prefer Slack over emails, and collaborate towards our shared goals. We blow off steam by playing ping-pong and Rocket League at our nice offices in the IT community in It-byen Katrinebjerg, Aarhus.
As a Frontend Developer at BoligPortal, you will be reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer, playing a key role in shaping the technological future of our platforms. You're a skilled frontend developer with a track record of successful concepts. While a background in software engineering or computer science is beneficial, it's not mandatory. Familiarity with our tech stack is a plus. Key qualities include being a quick learner, naturally curious, and staying informed about new technologies and trends. You excel in a team of passionate individuals, eager to create future solutions in an agile environment.

Who are we?
BoligPortal is Denmark’s largest rental housing portal. We are more than 70 passionate employees who, from the office in Aarhus, run the platform and develop services where tenants and housing landlordsfind each other. Safe, fast, and secure.
The vision is more than just a website. Rather, the vision is to be a technological platform that develops services creating security for home seekers and make it easier to be landlords. So far, it applies to digital contracts and moving reports, a product for handling rent payment, rental housing administration and data/knowledge about the rental housing market. These services are in our 4 brands BoligPortal, BostadsPortal (Sweden), Boligmanager and Data Insights.
The position as market leader in Denmark is based on more than 20 years of experience in the housing market, and we have experienced major expansion in recent years.
BoligPortal is part of North Media A/S, which is Denmark’s only listed media group.

Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features on new and existing products for tenants and landlords
- Debug bug reports and fix problems that may occur
- Participate and provide guidance in our tech talks and decisions – such as optimizing code style, architecture and tools of the trade
- Take big part in development of our internal component library written in React
- Be part of product development and early ideation with the rest of the product team
- Do code reviewing and QA of the work made by other frontend developers
Your skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with frontend development and modern web technologies
- Experience with React/Nextjs and TypeScript
- Some CSS experience - wizardry level is cool but not required (experience with Tailwind is a plus)
- Experience with bundling tools such as Webpack
- Being able to work in a team using source version control, code reviews etc.
- Design and UX experience is a big plus
