Fredericia

Are you proficient in C# and .NET? And do you want to work in an innovative company committed to a greener world?

Grab this opportunity to become part of our Tech & Innovation team that prioritises collaboration and work-life balance. Joining our agile setting, you will quickly find that we prioritise making decisions together – and you will have a lot of impact on how we solve our tasks.

Meet your new team

You will be joining the organisational area of Critical Supply Solutions where you become part of a great team consisting of 8 experienced colleagues. We come from different backgrounds and nationalities and therefore, we communicate in English on a daily basis.

We use Kanban and Scrum to create an agile and creative development process where we always aim to solve our tasks by working together.

More specifically, we spend the majority of our time building new systems for our Control Center, which serves as a significant player in the international electricity market.

We have both junior and senior profiles, so we learn from each other and trust each other’s capabilities,” explains Lasse.

In addition to the full-stack development tasks in your primary team, you will participate in front-end development as part of a cross-organisational Blazor team. Here, you will be taking care of e.g. shared services for use in the entire Tech and Innovation area.

Make your mark on our systems

You will have an end-to-end role where you will be involved in coding, architecting, developing new systems, and maintaining parts of the existing solutions until new solutions are up and running.

Our development method is BDD and mainly consists of microservices written in C# and hosted in Azure – we are cloud-based – as well as front-ends built in Blazor.

We use continuous integration and deployment, which means that code is automatically tested from unit to integration, including acceptance tests via BDD before the code is automatically deployed to a production environment.

This means that you will:

  • Work on code and design in C# and .NET microservice architecture
  • Perform front-end work in JavaScript/Blazor
  • Monitor the team's microservices
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and BDD/acceptance testing

A social workplace with a good work-life balance

You will be part of an organisation that highly values flexibility and work-life balance. Therefore, you will be provided with equipment for a comfortable home office to ensure the best possible combination of working at our head office in Fredericia and from home.

As an international team, we also rely heavily on Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration. We aim to meet physically at least once a week in Fredericia; the rest of the time, we work from home.

While delivering high quality products, we ensure to have lots of fun together and we share a good sense of humour. Also, we are communicating constantly, so you’re never on your own, even if you’re working from home.” - Gitte

Skilled developer with a desire to learn

There are several entry points to the position, but it is essential that you can adapt quickly to new work processes and take responsibility for your tasks. You are also curious and eager to learn new technologies – and of course, you thrive in close collaboration.

Additionally, we would like you to:

  • Have some years of experience from a similar position – maybe experience with front-end development
  • Have experience with development in C# and .Net – experience with Blazor would be nice
  • Speak and write English effortlessly – understanding and speaking Danish is an advantage

Special circumstances

The job requires you to be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. You can read more about security approval on PET's website here.

Application and contact

Send your application with your CV and other relevant attachments via this link so that we have it no later than 31 July 2023.

Interviews take place on an ongoing basis, and we will end the recruitment process when we have found the right candidate. If you have any questions about the job, you are very welcome to contact Agile People Leader Viktorija Johannesen Bhaskar on: 29 60 79 28 or Scrum Master Gitte Lessmann Nielsen, on: 52 15 98 76.

We see diversity as a strength and encourage all qualified people, regardless of background, to apply for the job. We work actively and determinedly with diversity in Energinet and therefore encourage you to exclude information about age, marital status, etc. to minimise outage biases in the process. You can read more about our diversity policy here.

Energinet Tech and Innovation is a new unit in Energinet that supports the organization as a whole through Innovation, Digitalisation, IT development and operation. The unit is a strategic partner supporting the interdisciplinary development of all Energinet's subsidiaries by providing the technological solutions supporting Energinet's core task of supplying electricity and gas to society. Solutions in the tech and innovation sectors have become a fundamental prerequisite for solving future tasks in connection with the green transition. Tech and Innovation are therefore based on three basic assumptions: Control the core task, ready for the green transition and a strategic partner. Tech and Innovation are organised according to agile principles – we work in small teams and work across borders to create the best solutions for our organisation. Based on the values of courage and trust, we focus on constantly developing ourselves as an organisation and as people.
