About the department

The Digital Accelerator is the home of the Outliers - a team of people who are wired differently. We are a team consisting of various profiles such as Software Developers, Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientist, UX/UI Designers and Agile Coaches. We are anchored in the Digital Innovation & Incubator area in Global IT.

Our purpose is to drive cultural change through partnering with various business areas to accelerate digital innovation. We aim to do this by providing passionate people, new ways of working, and the technical foundation to help solve Novo Nordisk business challenges. To add most value, our people are 100% dedicated and co-located together with the product teams.

The job

In this position as Software Developer you will be working on one of our product teams, where you will help define and develop a product supporting our lab analysis of chromatograms taking place in the production areas in Novo Nordisk. This digital product will help alleviate hundreds of colleagues’ work by automating their analysis using machine learning and improve the speed and way we deliver medicine to our patients worldwide.

The current solution is built on Python and R, and the work consists of further developing the current solution so that it can be used in a regulated part of the organisation while optimising it for a cloud platform. We are looking for a hands-on Software Developer to take an active part in the cross-functional Scrum product team, and someone who will take a lead on strategic decisions regarding the technology stack and architecture in collaboration with the rest of the team and relevant stakeholders across the organisation.

As we are leading the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk, we are looking for someone who does not shy away from being the frontrunner on building digital expertise and role modelling agile ways of working to the organisation. In fact, we expect you to take an active part in this transformation. But worry not, you’re not alone. In the Digital Accelerator we strive to create a community across our product teams, where you will be involved in defining the standard for software development across the teams in collaboration with your peers.

Qualifications

We expect all of our new colleagues to be team players, curious, eager to learn, and eager to drive change.

Furthermore, you are comfortable with forming opinions and taking decisions despite being challenged and despite operating in a heavily regulated environment, which require stakeholder management and ensuring you have sufficient knowledge to make decisions.

We are looking for a Software developer with similar experience from other roles such as a Software Developer or a hands-on Architect role. You have demonstrated your skills in Vue.js, .net core (C#), ASP.NET Core Rest API, SQL, Python, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Azure PaaS / Serverless, and Azure AD integration.

The ideal candidate has experience from a regulated environment e.g. Medtech or Fintech and is experienced in designing enterprise solutions with high standards for security, logging, scalability and reliability. Knowledge within working agile and Scrum is a plus. Being able to draw up and communicate your decisions to non-tech colleagues is a plus as well.
