As System Administrator at ipnordic, your purpose is to ensure a consistently secure and efficient tech infrastructure for our company and team. Care, ownership and a high focus on security and automation are therefore essential skills in this role.
Furthermore, you should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, work independently and have a natural interest and curiosity in learning new technologies.

Your responsibilities as System Administrator:
- Manage Linux and Windows servers (virtual machines and raw hardware), web servers, load balancers, mail, DNS, databases
- Manage VMware virtual environment
- Install, configure, and manage local/remote physical network hardware (firewalls, routers, switches, and access points)
- Perform maintenance and support for servers and network equipment (software/firmware upgrades)
- Perform disaster recovery planning, implementation, replication, snapshots/backups, and testing
- Troubleshoot and perform break-fix tasks on all system/network-related devices
- Perform daily system monitoring verifying the performance, integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and systems
- Review system and application logs and ensure overall system health
- Assist in improving and documenting system/network standards and practices
- Work with fellow team members to ensure the delivery of high-level support to our customers
Required skills:
- 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration role – or equivalent
- Experience in various scripting, such as Bash, PowerShell, Python etc.
- Experience with system configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Networks (firewalls, routing)
- SQL databases (SQL server, MySQL/MariaDB)
Bonus points if you have:
- Backup management systems (Veeam, GhettoVCB)
- Virtualization, VMWare ESXi
- Monitoring systems, Zabbix, SNMP
- Logging: Graylog, ElasticSearch
- MariaDB clustering
- CI/CD tooling such as Gitlab and Jenkins
- Programming languages such as JavaScript (node.js), Go, Ruby etc.
- Linux containers (Docker), orchestration (such as Kubernetes, Nomad etc.)
- Knowledge of docker, Puppet, MySQL, nginx
