The Danish division in Herning currently employs more than 140 employees and expect to continue a signicant
growth in the coming years. Nel Hydrogen is a global frontrunner when it comes to the development and production of
hydrogen fueling stations. The market for hydrogen stations will maintain its growth in the coming years, as large-scale
production of hydrogen cars, busses and trucks will be launched in the coming years.

The position
As a software engineer in Nel Hydrogen, you will join the Technology & Development department alongside more than
40 colleagues working with technology and product development. You will be a part of the Software team with 8 other
experienced software and simulation engineers. The department is responsible for control system software, safety
system software, KPI system, simulation, and modelling.
The key responsibilities of the position include:
Develop and maintain control system software for hydrogen refuelling stations.
Development and maintenance of Safety System (SIS).
Improving existing products based on feedback from customers and the Service department.
Development of HMI.
Assisting commissioning of stations in the eld and production with matters related to control systems.

Your background
You have an engineering degree in software, computer science, automation technology or another related eld and
preferably 3 – 4 years of experience with software engineering or software development for equipment/machines.
You have experience with structured text programming and moreover, it is a plus if you have/are:
Experience working with TwinCAT3 or similar (preferably Beckhoff, but also Siemens or Omron).
Experienced in C++ and embedded programming.
Experience working with safety PLC programming, Functional Safety IEC61511, and HMI development.

You are self-motivated, structured and pragmatic in your approach to solving your tasks and at the same time able to
come up with new and creative solutions. Your sense of quality does not prevent you from solving problems fast and
you thrive in an informal organization where you can inuence decisions and develop yourself.
Some travel activities must be expected as Nel Hydrogen is a global company. Working prociency in both written and
spoken Danish and English is expected.
