Senior Software Engineer
Can you picture yourself working within the field of renewable energy which is experiencing momentous global growth? And are you an experienced Software Engineer with a structured and analytic working method?
On behalf of our customer Ballard Power Systems A/S in Hobro, Randstad is looking for a Senior Software Engineer.
You will be part of the Software department, which currently consists of 3 people. As a software engineer, you will operate in real time on ARM-based code, C ++ (Linux kernel), and it is therefore expected that you have experience as an embedded software engineer with an understanding of the control part. You will work with control and regulation in Codesys.
As fuel cells are a physical product manufactured on site in Hobro, it is important to understand how to develop software for interdisciplinary products. Your job will be to integrate the features of the software in a convenient and usable way. Through structured work, you must identify functions and create model-based code for these (MBSE). Currently, Ballard is working towards standardizing and modularizing processes and models.
One of the department's most important functions is to create model-based and structured code based on the identified functions from the master matrix sheet which has been prepared in the System Engineering department.
Additional specific tasks to be solved on an ongoing basis:
• Structured programming in C ++, Python and Codesys
• Working on basis of Systems Engineering master matrix
• Integration from/to PLC
• Software testing
You are a trained software engineer or computer scientist or have another relevant engineering education, e.g. mechatronics, robotics or automation. You must be able to work from the understanding that there are no set boundaries between software and hardware and be able to visualize the functionalities and identify where to implement software. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of developing software for interdisciplinary products.
Furthermore, you are expected to have knowledge of functional safety (FUSA - 26262).
You master English at a professional level, and in addition, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the following:
• Scrum and agile steering
• CI/CD GIT – test & test cases
• Model-based software
• 62443 cyber security
• Systems Engineering
