About the department
You will be a part of Diabetes API (DAPI) in Kalundborg. We produce the active ingredient for almost half of the world’s diabetes treatment.
The team consists of 4 colleagues who provide daily support to the production. The main tasks for the team are to support the production, problem solving and automate & improve the processes.
The position
We work with both 1st generation technologies and well proven technologies in our Innovation Lab where we seek to combine technologies, in order to support our organisation. You will work in a creative environment sharing ideas with our Innovation- and Robotic specialists.
You will work hands on with our UR16e robotic arm and give your input and suggestion to the final setup of the solutions we are working on. Which also includes setting up interfaces among several devices. On top on that, you will be key in developing “Proof of Concept”-setups where we support different parts of the organisation (i.e. laboratories) with automating their processes.
You will also work with collection and analysis of data to be used in decision processes in the organisation. As an example; a cost-benefit analysis of technology choices. You should also expect to take part in different phases of a project, including planning, participate in meetings and workshop execution.
All this will be done in close collaboration with the responsible project managers and suppliers. You will receive sparring and coaching. As an intern you can expect to be challenged in delivering strong and profound results with real business impact across DAPI Kalundborg
- Internship Period: The internship is a full-time position for 5-6 months
- The internship is paid, if your Education track allows it
- Working Hours: 37 hours/week - we are flexible regarding work hours
- Start Date: 1st August 2020 we are flexible regarding internship timing
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
- Working place: Kalundborg, Denmark
Qualifications
We seek for an intern with passion for IT, robotics, lean and automation. As a person you possess at drive to work independently, are not afraid to consult colleagues/experts and are able to change track when findings show that it makes sense. You can communicate even complex information in easy terms in both Danish and English. Finally, you have a good sense of humour and enjoy working in an agile environment.
You are confident or curious about some of the following areas:
- Programming of robotic arms (UR16e)
- Software programming (Node-RED on RaspberryPi)
- General programming knowledge (i.e. C++, Python)
- Software robots (UiPath)
- 3D printing and CAD software
- Virtual or Augmented Reality
- Process mapping and visualizations
- Analysis of optimization opportunities

You thrive with analytical tasks and have a sharp eye for details. We expect candidates to be service minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. You work easily with IT applications such as Excel and PowerPoint and see challenges such as technical troubles or knowledge limitations as an opportunity to learn more. Excellent language skills in English and Danish is required.
