We're looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to join our Shared Game Services team, and own the studio's infrastructure and DevOps practice, specifically focusing on migrating our on-premise services to the cloud, and unifying our internal studio infrastructure with those of our games.The Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer reports to the Technical Director, and works closely together with the backend, build tools and IT teams. She/he should have experience migrating enterprise services and applications into the cloud (preferably GCP) and architecting globally available and highly secure region-based cloud instances, integration with existing on-premise systems and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will:
- Lead SYBO's DevOps efforts and mature both the studio operations as well as the game development teams.
- Develop, improve, and thoroughly document DevOps practices and procedures
- Provide architectural guidance for systems to improve security, scalability, reliability and adaptability of our growing GCP cloud footprint
- Provide senior expertise on migrating from on-premise services to native and/or hybrid-cloud
- Work in conjunction with IT, client and server engineering to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
- Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of the platform, applications, systems, and database architecture.
- Implement robust instrumentation for monitoring the health and availability of services including fault detection, alerting, triage, and recovery (automated and manual).
You are an expert in the DevOps domain, a well-rounded programmer that is both able and willing to take on tasks from any of these areas. REQUIREMENTS
We need you to have:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience automating and managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure at scale.
- Deep knowledge of developing and deploying containerised applications, using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure design, planning and implementation, preferably on GCP.
- Working knowledge of setting up and using version control systems like Git and Perforce.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one modern scripting language (python, etc)
- Know why security matters and how you minimise vulnerabilities in both the code you write and the systems you design
- Be fluent in English - both verbal and written
- And, most importantly: have a strong passion for both making and playing games!
It's a plus:
- Previous work experience in the games industry or entertainment companies
- Higher education degree in a relevant field
- Familiarity with C# and Unity
- In depth knowledge of networking and protocols
