As a Solution Architect, you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how the complexity of Technology supports the transport and logistics business.
You will be exposed to a wide and interesting range of business challenges through regular engagement with key stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk.
You will work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will enable you to build a strong professional network. As a starting point you will be placed at the core of the Dynamic Net initiative looking to optimise the container flow by using live data and on-the-fly decisions. The initiative is organized into Scrum teams each consisting of up to 7 engineers.
• Build and maintain architecture strategy and roadmap with Ocean Operations in close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders
• Assess the current state of the architecture landscape for Ocean Operations
• Analyze business needs, identify relevant solution scenarios and translate them into architectural models, strategies and roadmaps aligned to Enterprise Architecture principles
• Work with delivery teams to develop sustainable and achievable solutions & verifying the implementation ensuring the delivered system is consistent with the agreed architecture
• Create and communicate shared view of solution architecture and best practice including design principles & patterns, technology, tools and standards, interfaces, etc.
• Challenge, influence and support the stakeholders to solve issues and help realizing the company vision
• Identify and co-develop enterprise architecture principles & guidelines with close collaboration with enterprise architecture
• A strong technologist, who has proven expertise in establishing successful architecture designs. Continuous experience of architecture, design, implementation and support of complex applications and large-scale projects
• A good communicator and team player who could translate business needs into architectural designs and explain complex architectural concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
• Ability to create business outcomes and value with technology, in a variety of delivery environments. Experience in different development paradigms (Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall) and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• A sound understanding of transport and logistics, working experience within the domain is a benefit.
• Broad knowledge in application of design techniques and methodologies as well as deep understanding of data, integration and workflow platforms/implementation patterns
• Ability to demonstrate security considerations with solution designs
• Working experience on Azure platform components (AD, Key Vault, Service Bus, Web Apps, SQL, Cosmos DB, API Management, Event Hub, Logic Apps, Service Fabric, Storage, etc.)
Personal Skills
• Ability to understand complex business problems and needs, and translate these into architectural designs and communicate them on all layers in the organization
• Big-picture / systems thinking
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills & ability to balance between opposing forces and opinions, within architectural boundaries and decisions
• Pragmatic approach to balance the transformation towards the new architecture state while maintaining the current services and managing risks
• Ability to work well under pressure, independently and with high sense of urgency
• As a person, fact based, result oriented; and diplomatic with the ability to act in an often-complex business environment
• Fluent in oral and written English (Danish is not required)
• Thrives in an international and dynamic environment
