Reporting to the Head of Information and Integration Architecture, you will serve as Senior Enterprise Architect for Maersk Technology. You will be responsible for supporting our overall Information Landscape in terms of understanding the current and envisioning the future with a specific focus on the data is an asset principle.
Your primary responsibility will be to influence the data strategy by partnering with platform leadership teams, and through the rationalization of the information value chain, provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access and use.

•Translating strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture which includes extending the enterprise logical data model (Maersk Information Model).
•Working as a data design consultant to the IT Platforms development teams and other teams as required.
•Ensuring the Maersk Information Model is as far as is possible, in alignment with industry standard models such as the MSFT industry models etc.
•Responsible for the development of enterprise-wide information architecture blueprints, patterns and processes which ensure that the “data is an asset” principle is imbedded and adhered to across the Technology environment.
•Ensure focus on information and data quality by developing and publishing enterprise data standards such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions and data standards.
•Participate in platform design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure designs adhere to enterprise information architecture guidelines.
•Responsible for engagement with the business and technology areas to highlight risks to ensure they are making informed decisions around technology and implementation choices.
•Be a strong voice in the cross-organisational community that cares for the continued evolution of Maersk’s information model.
•When required, oversee and drive the physical information design for platform solutions to ensure alignment with Maersk standards and data structures.
•Coach, mentor and collaborate with peers, solution architects, development teams and project teams to ensure an information architecture that supports Maersk’s Business vision.
•Must have built architecture capability and worked within globally distributed matrix organisation with Business domain, data/content and process understanding
•More than 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to information architecture.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation industry is a must, preferably with in-depth knowledge of liner shipping, supply chain management and overall logistics
•The ability to influence at senior management level and collaborate across organisational boundaries in a federated model
•Proven ability to make pragmatic short-term decisions whilst aligning with a long-term strategic outcome
•Experience in enterprise level architecture and design (e.g. TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman) and a clear understanding of data architecture frameworks and their alignment across enterprise architecture domains.
•A transformational mindset using an approach of persuasion and encouragement that embeds sustainable capabilities
•Data modelling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.
•Data and information modeling expertise at the enterprise level, working with large and complex data models both logical and physical.
•Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models.
•Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modelling) to less-structured sources.
•Familiarity with data science concepts, as well as MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques.
•Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments with an understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (for example, microservices and event-based architectures).
•Experience in enterprise modelling tools (e.g. Business Enterprise Studio, ERWin Data Modeler, Sparx etc.)
•Working effectively in a team of strong individuals for achieving a shared goal
•Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis and design, and programming techniques.
Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
•Strong communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.
