You will be joining Star Connect Vessel product team and playing a key role in building software that enables Maersk to reach its target of reduce C02 emissions of our extensive fleet. Our focus is on making a great and easy-to-use product that combines the know-how and experience of the crew into a modern data-driven application that draws on a huge volume of data collected by onboard IoT equipment.
Our tech stack can be described with keywords including: TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure.
This is one of the few opportunities out there where your direct contribution allows you to make a very real difference for the climate!
• Maintaining and transforming the current application, keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
• Implementing new features, while working closely together with Subject Matter Experts and Product Designers.
• Encouraging and advising on good practice in building reliable, scalable applications.
• Timely and responsible delivery of solid, dependable products with potential for high impact on the corporate business
Minimal qualifications:
• At least 2-5+ years of experience with development of successful products (We are considering both early career and more senior candidates).
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent job experience.
• Fluent in JavaScript and up to date on the latest React features.
• Good familiarity with web server applications, web protocols, authentication, authorisation.
• Familiarity with building user-facing UIs.
Desirable qualifications:
• Experience with TypeScript or other strongly typed languages (e.g. Go and C#)
• Experience with other modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular or web components (LitElement, Polymer)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Creative self-starter and detail-oriented, both towards code and design.
• Good social skills, ability to successfully collaborate with people of different personalities and ways of working.
How we hire
• You’ll have a screening interview with one of our engineers.
• We’ll give you a short homework assignment to test your coding and solution design. We’ll try to keep it short.
• You’ll be invited to have an interview session where you’ll have a technical interview with engineers from the product. You’ll also have a chance to talk to the Product Owner, Product Designer and Engineering Manager.
• That’s it. If you’ve made it through, we’ll make an offer!
